Mayuzumi wants to ask how Mibuchi even knows there’s a rabbit character in the book, but he doesn’t want to know the answer. He also wants to correct Mibuchi on the name – after all, her rabbit ears aren’t truly the defining characteristic of her persona, there’s much more to it all than that – but he also doesn’t want to deal with the condescending mocking he’s sure will follow. “How comforting,” is the dry response he settles on.

“And why are you so concerned about my stamina? I’ll be out of your hair soon enough anyway. It’s not worth straining past my limit when nothing’s going to come of it either way.” This interaction has only just begun and he wants it to be over immediately.

“Why wouldn’t I be, my dear Mayu? We are still on the same team together, aren’t we? It’s only natural to be worried about you, isn’t it?” While what Mayuzumi is true, a part of him can’t help but still worry about him. Besides, there’s not much time left for him to come up here and bother him anymore, Mayuzumi’ll be graduating after all. 

“Now, come. The others are waiting on us, Mayu, and it’s rude keep people waiting for so long.” While not particularly worried about manners for once, Mibuchi’s more worried the others wont be there when they arrive, and he’d hate for something that Sei-chan put together to go to waste.

“It’s more or less a bit of both. Keeping the premises tidy is a high priority in my family’s household, but I’ve come to the point where I myself can’t stand the sight of too much disorder. When things are lacking in organization, it only makes things harder for everyone later. In a way, I can sense Coach Shirogane’s frustration. We must do our best to set a good example for the others.”

Akashi chuckled a little. “Although we have men like Nebuya-san on our team, don’t you think having him around makes things interesting?”

"I see,” Mibuchi nodded. “It is a bit of our duty to be a good example for the others, isn’t it?” While Akashi didn’t have the status of an older student, he certainly did have it as captain. He took it quite seriously as well, it was strange that Mibuchi almost looked up to his younger teammate, but their team was anything but ordinary.

“Interesting is certainly a word to describe him. Eikichi is downright vile at times, as if he was raised in the woods! He has no class!” As much as Mibuchi complained about him, he did see Nebuya as a close friend. Mostly.

Confiscating his book? Confiscating – ? Mayuzumi can’t help the surge of anger, and he knows that it flashes on his face for a brief moment. His hands tremble, but he forces himself to swallow it down – literally – because no way is he going to lower himself by throwing a tantrum in front of his younger teammate. He has to… set a good example… or something. Set some kind of example, anyway. He’s not quite sure it’ll be a good one.

“Need me, yeah – sure.” Why else would his teammates call on him if they didn’t selfishly need him for something? “…Give that back when we get there.”

Mibuchi gives him a soft smile -- one a mother would give her child, almost -- as he chuckles. “Of course, of course. I won’t let any harm come to Usagi-chan, don’t worry.” He wasn’t sure what it was exactly that Mayuzumi loved about these books, he’d personally much rather indulge in a love story or a book of poetry, but to each their own he supposed.

“You know, you really shouldn’t sit up here all the time, Mayu. You need to work on your stamina still, although you have gotten better, there’s always room for improvement right?”

Hello lovelies! A couple days ago I mentioned I was changing some things about my blog(s) and I did! I tweaked with my rules and added a few things, and the most major change is that I’m multiship here again! Now that I’ve got everything cleaned up and I feel less stressed, I’m slowly gonna submerge myself into replies and stuff again!

Sidenote! I have a twitter for Aomine & Hyuuga and I recently made a Mibuchi blog! So if you’d like, please follow all of those! Thank you for being so patient with me, I know nothing is ever very stable around here but I intend on getting it back on track very very soon. ♡♡♡

He’s been ducking away from Mibuchi for the last hour, desperately trying to avoid whatever friendship-building activities he’s trying to rope him into. How is it that he’s the only third year in the team, yet Mibuchi still treats him like a child? He never gets a shred of respect from those idiots.

Akashi seems to have tipped him off that Mayuzumi reads alone on the roof, much to his dismay. As Mibuchi approaches him, Mayuzumi buries his face deeper into his light novel, pretending as though he hasn’t seen the other – as if a ploy like that would work in a million years.

Mayuzumi was a hard man to find. Harder than he should be, but he did tend to keep a low profile, and it worked for their new basketball style thanks to Sei-chan. But, when Mibuchi wanted something, he was going to get it, he just had to pull one of his tricks from out of his sleeve, one of those being their beloved captain himself.

“Mayu~” Mayuzumi’s got is face in a book -- literally -- when Mibuchi finally finds him on the roof. He gently takes the novel from his grasp, and tucks it under his arm. “You’re not hiding from me, are you? Come, we need you in the gym!” Mibuchi decides to leave the details out for now, they’ll be provided when the time comes.

“Of course, I must oversee our progress after all. Taxing efforts such as maintaining cleanliness is much more tolerable when done as a team, right? I’m also hoping to keep Coach Shirogane’s patience at bay, it wouldn’t be good if he had us overexert ourselves during practice as punishment.” Akashi was pretty grateful that the coach mostly left things like that in his hands, but still. Ultimately, the final decision belonged to the coach, and Akashi respected that. “Do you like to clean, Mibuchi-san? You seem very well kept.”

“Hmm. As expected of you then.” Akashi was the model captain, keeping the team together and making sure they were productive and on track. He was admirable, even if he was younger. Maybe it had to do with being captain of the Generation of Miracles... “Like to? Well, I wouldn’t say that. I just prefer things to be a bit more...cleanly. It’s more manageable that way, no? Besides, it’s much better than to be in filth.” His mind briefly flashed to thoughts of Eikichi and his...less than presentable ways sometimes. “What about you, Sei-chan? You seem well kept yourself. Or is that attributed more to your family? You are pretty well off, aren’t you?”

“Of course!” Well, it was debatable on if the others available, but he’d persuade them if not. “I’d expect nothing less of our captain, your attention to detail is remarkable.” Mibuchi nodded. Although having Akashi as captain was certainly...an experience sometimes, he was rather good at it, Mibuchi certainly didn’t mind being his vice captain. “But, will you being joining us also? After all, the more man power, the better, right?”
