Welcome to my selective, indie rp blog for Loki, God of Mischief.  Loki is a central figure of Norse mythology, and he is an antagonist-turned-antihero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (as portrayed by Tom Hiddleston).  He is also a complex main figure in the Marvel Comics. 

This blog is both canon-divergent and canon compliant, depending upon verse.  When writing with me, you have the option to choose to start at the end of any of the Thor films, in a divergent continuity, OR to write Loki’s new Endgame canon timeline, which “reboots” at the end of Avengers Assemble. Just let me know! :)

Can we just appreciate Tom’s acting here?? He took Loki’s grief and made it look real. It’s very difficult for actors to do this. The way he looks, the scream of anger and frustration. He really brought Loki’s feelings to the screen and i admire him so much.

Mhmmmm. I think there’s a culturally ascribed reason why the others react stoically, though, but Loki is punished for deviating from the norm…again…. lol.

Okay, opinion? Alicia Vikander for Sigyn? And also it would be greeat to have Sigyn in the series but not the way it was in the comics - i want the vibe from the mythos, of them as equal and balanced and not just in love but choosing to love. Cmon that would be great am I really the only one to see it in this fandom :D

Oh, I looked her up and I can definitely see it:

There’s a gentleness in her eyes and it’s kind of neat that she’s a brown eyed brunette who can be associated with earth, fertility, nourishment, to Loki’s mercurial, adaptable, and changeable ice/water element (I know people often associate him in pagan rites with fire, and I still need to write about why I think he’s a Scorpio, aka fixed water, sign, lol, but anyway). Water brings life to earth, and together they produce all things green; it’d be a neat undercurrent (no pun intended) of symbolism in their relationship.  

The key to Sigyn imho is to make her look BOTH strong/empowered and quietly kind.  She needs to look stable and determined. This actress conveys that impression. The fact that she’s also Swedish and a dancer lends a Scandinavian accent and a gracefulness of movement that both suit Loki.

I certainly wouldn’t complain if they chose her, although I admit I don’t think I’ve seen her in anything (maybe Ana Karenina?). 

For the past couple of years, I’ve wanted to see Mandip Gil in the role

but then I realized....she’s way too young for Tom Hiddleston, who’s almost forty.  

As for your comments on the relationship, I think it goes without saying that I’d kill to see the same tweaks, which are closer to the original myths than the bizarrely misogynistic comics.
