I got a tattoo today. It has a lot of meaning behind it and lots of thought and love went into the planning of it. The Sunday before my dad passed away I went to see him at the hospice. When I was leaving he looked up at me and held out his hand, so I took it. He shook it while softly saying “Thank you” and gently kissed it. That was his way of saying good bye. I will always cherish that memory and I still hear his soft voice thanking me. I miss him so much that it hurts, so I decided to get this tattoo done in his handwriting (I had to hunt down a checkbook that he had written in to get the letters) and I can’t explain how much I love this tattoo and how happy it makes me to know that I have my dad’s last words to me forever etched on my skin. I’m not going to lie though it hurt like and absolute BITCH and I was screeching like a dying animal but it was over in 30 seconds. The amazing @barbarocket was the artist who did this tattoo for me. Thank you so much again Barbara! I absolutely love it!!!❤
