Billie: How many minutes late can you be before you actually have to start apologizing for being late? Because I feel like 1-2 minutes is okay but I'm definitely running later than that.
Malia: I don't wait for anyone more than five minutes. It's rude to waste people's time, so maybe you should've begun apologizing a while ago already.
Billie: Someone's going to seriously think I'm an ass after this, aren't they?

Billie: It means that everyone is there and ready to start on time. No waiting around for other people to arrive. And I admit, I do suck at being on time but so what? So does everyone else.
Logan: Starting on time would mean being there a couple minutes early to achieve that. If you can't wait 5 minutes you have other issues too. No, that is what late people think.
Billie: You're a control freak, aren't you? Because that's the whole vibe i'm getting from this conversation.

Billie: I'm meeting some friends which I feel like gets me off the hook juuuuust a little bit. Especially when I can blame it on work for making me late. 7. Trying to be generous there? Or insulting?
Bentley: I'd rather be late to work than to my friends, honestly, but my priorities have never made much sense. Work is as good an excuse as any though. Just trying to be conservative in the way I factor in if you need to to apologize or not. Are you guys doing dinner? Drinks?
Billie: It's dinner but it's not like a restaurant dinner where I'll have everyone waiting and hangry. More of a casual bring a plate kind of thing at someone's house. I can get away easier if there's a group of them right? And alcohol? I may be more than 30 minutes late now.

Billie: And it's actually called efficient when you're right on the dot and on time. Which I am about.... 50% of the time.

Billie: See, an hour plus seems excessive. I tend to start apologizing at 15 minutes but I'm running about 30 minutes late and now I'm wondering if it's possible to just slide in there unnoticed. Or maybe I should just can it already.

“I swear, that guy has gone up to four different women since I’ve been here and still... no luck with any of them.”
“Why are espresso machines so expensive when you don’t even get the real deal out of it in the end?”
“Either way, I can tell you right now that if you buy one, you’re falling right into a trap. You pay a whole lot, wind up disappointed and then continue to buy yourself a cup of coffee from the café every day because they can make better than you can. Or because you’re running late and don’t have time to make yourself one before you run out the door in the morning. Don’t do it.”

“It’s more like a desperate need not to be seen as a greedy asshole. I’m surprisingly good on my own,” he chuckled. And he was, though it wasn’t as though he always craved it. He was a pretty social guy, but in a new city, a lot of nights were spent alone, and he wasn’t feeling any kind of way about it. “Though, getting to dance with women like you is not a bad way to spend a night,” he smiled. “Well now I’m just going to spend the rest of my night self-conscious about my feet.”
“See, you shouldn’t feel guilty about yourself at all. That’s just a sham. They want you to feel that way so they can pry more money out of you.” Billie teased, her tone remaining bubbly as not to rain on anybody's parade although truth be told, she actually did believe her own words. “I mean, your feet a big but you don’t need to be self conscious about it. Not until you literally start standing on people’s toes and then maybe having a big feet is going to quickly become an issue. Or you’re just a terrible dancer who needs to take lessons.” Again, she teased.
