Let’s break this down real quick:
Bakugou noticing the pain Kirishima’s in and deciding that he cares enough to change that.
He consults Kaminari about it, which is already a major development in terms of social skills for Bakugou.
Him saying Kirishima instead of “Shitty Hair”, “Hair for brains”, “Bastard”, “Idiot”, or any of his standard insults. (We all know he doesn’t do that often)
After hearing that Kirishima spent his allowance on his rescue, Bakugou decides to pay him back the money even going as far as to lie about withdrawing it beforehand, since he couldn’t have possibly went to a bank during the exchange, meaning that maybe Bakugou gave Kiri all the money he had on him in that moment!
He insists(!!) on Kirishima accepting the money (and may I say that there was no such thing as shoving the money against Kiri’s chest in the manga, therefore Studio Bones blessed us with extra physical contact yet again?)
And Bakugou passively telling Kiri to cheer up?
Also Kiri’s smile.
I’m so happy with this scene and I can’t wait to see more of their developing relationship (be it platonic or romantic).
