i rlly do dislike when people downplay the feral hog problem in the US bc they are genuinely a massive pest in a lot of the south since early colonizers literally set them free on purpose when they got here so they would have a familiar source of food and so they could continue the european aristocratic practice of boar-hunting 😭

My cousin catches feral pigs on the property he rents from his employer in Hawaii. He’s giving meat away to neighbors because no matter how many he catches, they’re still tearing up the neighborhood. 🫠
He catches them in snare traps and then shoots them.
