This is a lesson to any uninsured folks: Out of pocket dental insurance is worth it. I no longer qualify for work insurance and thought I didn’t have enough money for a private plan.

Don’t be like me: find an affordable dental plan before problems occur.

While the preventative care part of my insurance activated in August 1st, The orthodontic part of my private insurance doesn’t activate for another 6 months, so the root canal and crown will be out of pocket.

I’m serious. Even if your only option is sliding scale or care at a dental college, don’t go without care for a year like I did. 😭😭

They are going to waste time and resources going after less than one percent of the population.

IL26-63B would add a requirement for athletes competing in girls’ sports to submit a doctor-signed statement confirming if the student is biologically female.

-They want to add a sex confirmation test even though adding the birth sex of a child athlete is already required on current forms

-There is no similar upcoming legislation for male athletes

-There is no guidance for the discovery of intersex individuals if a family opts to use genetic testing for confirmation

-If parents don’t want their children to compete on the same team as a transgender individual or against transgender peers, parents already have the option to opt into an out-of-school alternative

-This proposed legislation discriminates against a protected class in Washington State. OSPI guidance on transgender students:
