CBIs on medsurg is actually fucking insane!! How am I supposed to keep up with a CBI running wide open AND monitor and irrigate my patient for clots WHILE taking care of 4-5 other people who may be actively confused and trying to get up by themselves and fall, post surgery and need regular pain meds, BG checks and insulin and AAAAAAAAAAA and I have no tech probably so also all vitals FALL ON MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Horrendously unsafe I can't ever put myself in that position again unless I'm like 1:2-3 patients with the CBI

#1:6-7 isn't even that terrible of a ratio but it was absolutely not safe on my unit especially without a patient care tech #I like being busy I don't like needing to shadow clone 3 of myself to hope to keep on top of everything
