um um um hc i'm thinking abt bc of that one drabble i wrote awhile back: the agency wants saeyoung to the ruthless type, but he just. can't be, it isn't in his nature, he'll always be a little squeamish abt killing/torture/etc, the reaction is def more subdued then his first kill, but he'll always get quiet, and uneasy abt it. he can't help but sympathize with his targets, esp after learning sm about them.

seven is wheezing, gasping softly as he winces under the other's trying-to -be-gentle touch, and despite the spit-up blood staining white teeth, he turns his head and gives the other a smile as he tries to keep himself together. ✉️ " hey, thanks again... i mean, you could've left little 'ol me to deal with this alone, but you didn't. teamwork or whatever, right? " he gives a hollow laugh as he slowly stands, groaning a bit with effort, too. ✉️
absentmindedly still clutching his bandaged side, he clears his throat a little, " alright, i'm good. i'm good, i think. " a mumble, tired eyes scan -ning the area, as he pays attention to his heart's slow, steady beat. ✉️
" let's--there's a generator nearby, come on. let's play follow the leader, okay? " gripping the other's hand gently, he quips, still trying to be playful. ✉️

seven smiles brightly, despite the rather grim nature of the other's words, he doesn't even miss a beat as he says, " ha, you can say that again! i mean, i've never had the best luck with fathers anyway, so i guess i shouldn't be too surprised! " ✉️
he hums and haws over the other's words, and then, " i think… hey, maybe the big man forgot about us, but that's okay, right? just makes our eventual entrance even more kickass. see, i'm gonna kick down those pearly gates myself! " a funny, little pose, and a bubbly laugh. ✉️ (to be honest, seven knew he wasn't exactly heaven -bound, but still, it was nice to think about, wasn't it?) ✉️
fr @resetcat!! / coming home after a long-ass day at work (so long that the moon greeted him as he left the office), jumin lets himself into his apartment with a sigh. kicking off his shoes, unbuttoning a few buttons of his dress shirt, he walks into the living room and—
“ …hello, person who does not live here, ” he greets seven. at this point, he is no longer surprised: it’s almost expected, really. “ i hope you haven’t been harassing my cat too much. ”

it'd become a sort of habit, 'breaking into' jumin's penthouse when he got bored of work, and his usual old apartment--and, by 'breaking in', he means asking the security team nicely, and being allowed access. right now, he lays upside down on the couch, a small stick cat toy in hand. he playfully bounces the faux mouse around, watching as jumin's cat tries to catch it, and quietly giggling to himself. ✉️
suddenly, he hears the door's padlock beep, and the front door slide open, he can't help but smile as he sits up, a little too fast, as well. ✉️
" jumin!--whoaaaa, dizzy... " after his head is done reeling, he lightly shakes it, and once he regains his balance, he sits up on his knees. " hey, hey! what, no 'honey i'm home'? " he teases the other, with a wink and a snickering laugh to go along with it, a bubbly sound. ✉️
" and, harassing!? mister, i'm appalled you'd even suggest i'd do such a thing, to my elly-welly! hmpf. " a fake pout, but he seems to get over it pretty quickly, bouncing from topic to topic with ease. (parkour!) ✉️

they'd been driving for some time now, an hour, maybe two--saeran is asleep in the backseat, leaning against min-ji, them a tangle of tired limbs. saeyoung adjusts the rear view mirror, eyes darting over to the reflection to check on them, he smiles gently at what he sees. safety, peace was so close: they reach, and their fingers brush against it. ✉️
suddenly, vanderwood, (their new name pending), sat in the passenger seat beside the redhead speaks, voice soft, assumingly to not wake the other two behind them. he can't help feel a little giddy at the wording of it, butterflies fluttering in his stomach--'we', he liked the sound of that... ✉️ ah, but that's besides the point, he'd been asked a question! he clears his throat awkwardly, cheeks a little warm as he gives a quiet laugh. ✉️
" are you kidding? i'd love a white picket life! i mean, after all the stuff we've been through, don't you think we deserve something like that? " " streets lined with matching houses, perfectly cut, fake green lawns, annoying the homeowners association, on purpose, of course! " ✉️
he taps a random tune on the steering wheel, a dreamy sigh escaping him, " i dunno, it just sounds kinda nice, right? the normalness of it...
