Her delicate features twisted into a scowl. “I don’t want your help. That would be useless.” She looked over her shoulder, surveying the area. “You must have at least seen someone take it. You’ve been sitting around here sulking all day, anyway. What else is new, right?” She crossed her arms across her chest, staring down the boy in front of her. “You know what? I changed my mind. I want you to find it for me. Make yourself useful for once.”
Her words sting, and Binky immediately recoils, now unwilling to help, or even talk to her. But his fear outweighs his distaste, as does his desire to prove he's not useless. He nods, color rushing to his face. "Fine." he mumbles. "I'll try my best."
