mercenaries-for-hireâ:
Biolizard was somewhat surprised by Beanâs outburst, but rather than offended or taken aback, the large monster seemed almost happy to see it. It loved seeing that spark of madness shining so brightly in such a little creature. âKyeh, hah haah. Youâre right⊠I apologize. Honestly, I meant no offense to any of you⊠I was just simply stating a fact⊠Please forgive, Iâm not used to talking to people I donât wish to kill.â
Unconsciously, it touched the gem now embedded in its chest. âPlease, donât misunderstand⊠You are murderers and bastards, yeah. BUT, youâve done me a great se-e-ervice, and done honest work! Rare, even from the SCUM that claim to be good people⊠So I think that deserves a free pass on the rest of their retribu-PUNISHMENT. That means I have no ill will towards youâŠâ
It craned its neck to look at the nearby corpse of a GUN soldier, bathed in the red emergency lighting. âThe fact of the matter is⊠Everyone in this world deserves, and NEEDS, death⊠Myself more than most! THIS is my pu-u-urpose! To rip open the very gates of Hell itself, and usher in the endâŠâ
It twisted its head back toward Nack, âDespite all that you still have my loyalty⊠I will honor this bargain for as long as you donât try to stop me. Youâre free to do what you wish, but those rooms on the ARK wonât go away. Treachery ange-PISSES ME OFF more than ANYTHING else! So you have my word.â
At first, Nack seemed to jump out of his skin at Beanâs outburst [as well as Bark], but then went to being unphased. Heâs heard all the crackpot logic in the book. Anywhere from chaotic reign through a god, to a chaotic reign through a theme park. He didnât care. Paid just the same.Â
So in an instant, the leader snapped his fingers, silently telling Bark to grab Bean and shut him up before he was their ticket to a dead end. After that, he pushed his hat up and gave a nod. âFine. Ya actually pull off this? Ya gottaâ deal. We can do exactly that,â Though the wording made it sound like it was Nackâs offer. Seemingly intentional by chance.Â
Though.. the bear didnât seem too happy as he covered the duckâs mouth while holding him in one hand. There was a lot not sitting right with thisâŠ. but he had loyalties to the boss soâŠ.. unfortunately⊠that opinion didnât matter.Â
The big lizard hissed in approval. âAh, great! Itâs a de-e-e-eal then!â It let out a low chuckle as it backed away. It knew that as it got its claws on more Chaos Emeralds, it would get more and more attention from those who would interfere with its plans. The last thing it needed was Ivo hiring those three to throw a wrench into its plans, so being able to at least write them off as a threat to itself was a huge boon. Besides, did it really matter if those three died of old age a handful of decades later than everyone else? Itâd all be the same in the end..
âKah heh heh... Well then your services are no longer required here. Any more blood spilled is on your own time. But feel free to indulge! More cowards have retreated deeper into the complex, waiting for reinforcements... Itâd be a shame to spare so many of them after the trouble you all went through to get me in here. Your call.â And with that the lizard started slithering toward the back of the hangar, intent on finding more GUN soldiers to mangle while it still had time.
