Lil introduction post here:

I’m Biorust! I go by Bio, Rust, Rusted, Goo etc and I use They/Them pronouns.

I’m an artist here on Tumblrs and Instagram (@Biorust) and I mostly do digital art, though I’ll post any of the writing, crafts/ other arts that I do (like doll making etc) 

I mostly draw fandom stuff (Murderbot currently, though Critical Role and Star Wars in the past and more) and I do draw NSFW stuff! You have been warned! The tag for that is ‘Biorust After Dark’ if you want to block it

Platform Decay spoilers! Damn! the two of them are in very different genres huh. had to draw this real fast cus, wow.

Platform Decay. Unsustainability. -

Yo shout out to all those sci-fi artists cus this shit difficult. The small description of the planet was so jarring it immediately stuck inside my brain and i had to doodle about it. not sure which version i like better, space or the window.

Network Effect. --

I think about SecUnit 003 fairly often... mostly how it will always be a part of a set.

Murderbot 2.0 is a silhouette of Murderbot, its curly hair can be seen against the bright orange cloud dust around it. It is a black hole with many tendrils of light around it. END ID]

Speaking of, I was gonna draw smth else for you but then uhhhhh. Gala outfit time took over my brain (they're proxies for their MIs! )

forgive the sketchiness. I originally wanted to draw dress uniforms for both of them for a hypothetical ceremony and they both be unique based off of their MI. Holism's dress uniform was easy cus Holism is already more military like in the uniform i designed for it, so this dress uniform is highly inspired by the US marine corp and other fancy dress uniforms. the blue pants are one again taken from Alexi Leonov's drawing of the atmosphere. the white gloves are in reference to the paper it was drawn on. also i think gloves are cute. Three metals on its chest. cus. i think im funny.

MB was a bit harder. I originally also drew it in a military esk dress uniform but decided that it didn't really fit. Perihelion is a research vessel after all, so i changed directions. Murderbot's outfit is inspired by Indian formal men's wear and doctoral regalia, hens all the black and no white. the swooping patterns are reminiscent of orbitals and the fabric it wears around its shoulders has orbital patterns along the hems. the orbital patterns along the neck (made with the scarf and the gold jewlery/pins) means that Murderbot is the sun and ART's clothes make up the orbit/perihelion. Also. its wearing normal ish boots cus. i don't think they can wear slippers/low cut shoes. also also MB's tunic has a star chart overlayed on it.

I think Perihelion and Holism would have a fun time dressing up their SecUnits.

Ah! I forgor to post the sketch, woops

@penig the 'ribs' act more like a chest plate than individual ribs, you can kinda see them in the form of bands on the inside. The torso opens up in two parts, the 'heart and lungs' section and the 'guts' section. The ribs compartment for the comm is in the chest plate, but over the guts flap (very technical words I know lol)

Less of a compartment, more of a sack. And it can be accessed without lifting the chest plate

Someone sent an ask about Murderbot Expressions (tm) and I got a lil distracted and drew... well Murderbot living up to its name.

In my second read through, it registered that Murderbot punched the Target UP into the bulkhead... not down onto the floor. like damn. what a construct.

Was entranced by this photo set and uhhh made it SecUnit flavored. I think. they are neat. I like drawing their uniforms.
