Sketch thing I did idk man.

I don’t draw gijinkas much but this felt like a good idea

lil design dissection incoming

this is just the head of my design and I’ve made several gijinkas based on diffrent versions of Taco. I also feel like I never get a design that feels like her which is why I don’t draw gijinkas often. normally I imagine she would wear braids wrapped in a little bun because it’s easier to maintain and also to seem presentable. Although given the context of this scene (which is an alien stage reference) I think it would make more sense for her hair to be down.

she also has leaves in her hair which is probably from hiding in bushes and being out in the woods, she tries to pluck them out if they bother her but usually there’s at least two leaves on her at all times. The flowers are meant to look like little tomatoes but I don’t imagine she would actually wear them. Rather, they were an addition made by Mic because she thought it looked cute.

I’m still not sure what facial features I want to give her but in this specific drawing she looks rather young, possible alluding to her season 1 persona where she acted more childish. (Also because I was using Sua as a reference) If you look close enough there are little scars on her fingers, probably from wood splinters or oddly sharp leaves and rocks. her face also has quite a few imperfections, most likely acne from stress or a few accidental nicks here and there. I see a lot of people drawing her with eye scars (where she got hit by the gemory) but it never made sense to me because that’s not how scars work, I portrayed the incident by giving her cracked glasses (more people should draw her with glasses, cracked or not)

some other little gijinka headcannons I have that aren’t apparent in this illustration is that I think she would be the type of person to wear modest clothing and makeup, (Because of her prim and proper persona in season two) especially when interacting with other people. She tries to appear more mature and put-together, while concealing who she really is.
