My arrangements from Day 3 of the professional program at the FlowerSchool NY. It has been fascinating to work with so many types of flowers. Today included orchids, lisianthus, roses and carnations.

My arrangements from Day 2 of classes in the professional program at FlowerSchool NY. Both the hand-tie bouquet and the centerpiece were a ton of fun to work on. The bouquet smelled amazing with the lilacs, oregano, stock and garden roses!

I came across these roses on my way to Central Park yesterday. There was something incredibly interesting and inspiring about seeing such a lush natural plant growing I'm such an urban environment.

Heidi and Michael are both classically trained musicians and they met in NYC, while studying music in college. Photos are up for Heidi & Michael’s Brooklyn wedding a few weekends ago. The bride wanted to take inspiration from her grandmother’s garden to create a warm and romantic environment for their guests. We used vintage gilded vases; gold mercury glass (a mix of real and faux); cafe, icicle and fairy lights; and shades of white and ivory to create a sophisticated mix of elegance and comfort.

My very first blog post! I recently planned a Kate Spade themed 2nd Birthday party in shades of pink and red with accents of gold.
