Today, instead of bringing you the Shangmei Oubing from 1979, I'll bring you the Shangmei Oubing from1999! I found out about this version of "Fēng Shén Bǎng" while doing some research on Shanghai Animation studio and the Zhabing CP. I found it quite charming, even if I can't fully understand what's going on! It's nice to see that even over two decades ago people were wanting to repair the friendship between Nezha and Aobing!

Ok SNEAK PEAK I really wanted to have this little 9-page doujin ready for y'all by Christmas, but I doubt that will happen. It'll be a freakin Miracle if it gets done by New Year but I PROMISE it will be done by my birthday (end of January) I wanted to post a little snippet to show y'all that I am working hard DAILY making new ShangmeiOubing content for everyone. I have not left the fandom, and I have not slowed down one bit! It's just, I don't want to leak a little bit here and there, I want to post the whole thing in one go! If I'm not done by Christmas, I will post another little snippet on Christmas as my gift to you!!

I did a ZhaBing fan art based on the infamous "I am the River" line from Xi Songs "Nezha" story. When I saw the "Chainsaw Man" meme going around, I was instantly inspired. This isn't Shangmei Oubing, I guess I could've done Shangmei this way but I decided to just do an original Nezha & Aobing.

Trying to think of what costume Nezha could wear, with 8 limbs total, isn't a spider the natural choice? So I made him into a little black widow, who eats their mate. Sorry Bingbing, I want to draw something dark every now and then too.
