I need to drop my designs for the East and West dragon clans so you'll have context when I eventually start explaining my version of Ao Bing's backstory and also I need to ramble about them even though literally no one asked

EAST SEA:
Ao Bing and Longnü are the closest due to being the youngest, and also the huge age gap between them and the other two. Ao Yi only really connected with Longnü after Ao Bing died. Ao Jia doesn't have much of a relationship with any of them other than Ao Yi
Ao Jia is the only one that doesn't have a unique colour on his clothes due to him being the heir to the East Dragon Clan. It's also why his base layer is the most elaborate and he doesn't have any other layers in contrast with his siblings. The same can be said about Ao Mo'ang and his siblings
Ao Bing's light purple layer used to belong to Longnü. It was the first thing she gave him when he was brought back to life
All four siblings have pearls on them. It's a tribute to their mother, who used to always have pearls on her outfit
The amount of pearls on their outfits equals to how favoured they are in the eyes of the clan
Longnü has the most pearls as she is the clan's only princess and most favoured child, amongst the public, that is
Ao Yi has the second most. He's the one who's away from the palace the most since he's the one who takes care of the East Clan's diplomatic relations but the public loves him because he's always kind and charming and one of the reasons they prosper
Ao Jia stays in the palace taking care of affairs from the inside. The public doesn't have any particularly strong feelings about him but they like him well enough. He's their crown prince, he's the one who will take care of the clan if something ever happened to Ao Guang like it did to Ao Ji
Ao Bing is not well liked amongst the clan. He's not even recognized as a prince anymore
Ao Jia has the longest hair amongst the four of them. He doesn't really like that. It reminds him of his mother
None of them like being in the East Sea Palace. They all find it suffocating. It's why Ao Yi took a position that stays away
Out all four of them, Ao Bing is the one who looks the most like their late mother but he has many of Ao Guang's mannerisms
In contrast, Longnü is the one that looks the most like Ao Guang but acts like their mother did in her youth
Ao Yi does not like addressing any of his or his family's issues, but he will be the first to step up if things go to shit
Ao Bing used to have his ears pierced, he got them pierced for his 12th birthday. It was only a few days later that he died. When he was brought back, they were healed over and he never got around to doing them again
The only one out of the four of them who's ever been in a long term serious romantic relationship is Ao Bing… yikes guys
Longnü is the one who brought Ao Bing back to life... With the help of a few friends
Ao Bing and Longnü don't really remember what their mother looked like. Longnü was only 3 when she died and their mother never looked at Ao Bing enough for him to remember her face
Because Longnü was so young when their mother died, Ao Bing took it upon himself to be her primary caregiver until his untimely death. He had a lot of help from Nezha and Lady Yin during this
None of the royal dragons from the East or West Sea are fond of Nezha, save for Ao Lie, Longnü and Ao Bing. They would all jump him if they could
Ao Bing would often take Longnü to the surface whenever he went to play with Nezha. That's how she met Li Zhenying, Nezha's younger sister and became friends with her
Longnü is currently in exile for her crimes. She's allowed visitors but none that share her blood. Not that she gets visitors often anyway
Longnü’s most frequent visitors are Zhenying and Erlang Shen, on behalf of Cinxin. They're both busy though so visits are few and far between
WEST SEA:
Cinxin is married to Erlang Shen. It's funny because the 'big three' (Sun Wukong, Nezha, Erlang Shen) in Chinese mythology are technically related by marriage in my au lmao. Family reunions must be fun
All of the West Sea children are younger than Ao Bing, therefore, when he came back to life many centuries later, he had and still has trouble connecting his little cousins to their now grownup versions
Currently, Ao Mo'ang is the King of the West Sea. He and Cinxin are the only remaining members of the original West Sea royal family left
Cinxin is still a disciple of Guanyin, a senior disciple. A notable friend of hers is one Li Muzha, who she still works alongside to this day
Neither Ao Mo'ang or Ao Lie really liked Erlang Shen all that much. They both really liked his dog though
Ao Ji liked things orderly, which is why his children are separated by two years each in contrast to Ao Guang's ‘fuck it we ball' attitude when it comes to his children
Ao Mo'ang inherited this need for order. Cinxin and Ao Lie did not
Like Ao Lie said, Cinxin is rough around the edges, hot-headed and impulsive, much like Mei. She only ever shows restraint when she's with her master, Guanyin
In contrast, Ao Mo'ang is rather relaxed about personal matters. Not as world weary as Ao Jia or as avoidant of things like Ao Yi. He's a king now, such things need to be put aside
Because Ao Lie and Longnü are the same age and because they both regarded Ao Bing as their favourite family member, they grew rather close after his death. Ao Lie did have a hand in bringing Ao Bing back to life
Ao Mo'ang spends most of his time at the West Sea Palace while Cinxin spends her time in the Celestial Realm. They never talked much before but definitely sparingly now, after Ao Lie’s death
Ao Mo'ang has a hard time connecting with people, he doesn't know how to talk to them, even if they're family. Actually, maybe especially if they're family
Ao Lie never really connected with his siblings before or even after the journey to the west. He and Cinxin got along well enough but that was about it
Cinxin hates needles. She used to have her ears pierced but uhhh let's just say they got ripped out by a certain Monkey King when she was visiting the East Sea
Ao Mo'ang is married. To whom? A woman. I won't give her a face or a name, if I ever draw her she'll just be a nondescript woman with a veil over her face, it's just the curse of the Dragon Queens to never be named. Just know that she does indeed exist and the East Sea royal dragons are just naturally bitchless
Ao Lie still did set fire to part of the West Sea Palace and destroyed a precious pearl, leading to his death sentence. Part of the reason he was spared from death was because of Cinxin going to her master and begging for her younger brother’s life. Ao Lie was never told this
