001. PRIVATE ! this is a private / selective roleplay blog for an original character based in the world depicted in netflix’s bird box. this blog is not in any way affiliated with the movie or the book by the same name.

MUTUALS ONLY / NSFW ! this blog is strictly mutuals-only. i have a tendency to be selective when following back, so please know that my decision to follow you means i am interested in writing with you. refer to rule number 003 for more information about my writing / partner preferences. honestly guys, my biggest rule here is that i will not follow any muns under the age of eighteen. i am in my mid-twenties and have zero desire to put myself into any unwanted or compromising situations. please be respectful and do not follow me if you are under the age of eighteen.
003. EXCLUSIVES ! please note that i will not write with more than 2-3 versions of a single muse, regardless of whether we are exclusives / mains. quite frankly, i do not feel anything creatively rewarding can be gained from writing with ten different versions of the same muse. i would rather discover 1-2 versions of a muse that carter really connects with, and then build a thousand different worlds with those same 1-2 versions. i don’t necessarily expect my partners to treat me the same way, but i do gravitate towards those who share similar interests.
this blog does practice exclusives / mains, as well. muses found on my mains list take priority over generalized partners. these are the versions of a muse i will approach first with plots or headcanons, and typically their replies will take priority over those not on these lists. additionally, those on my exclusives list receive even further priority. i do not write with any other version of this muse, unless a special exception has been made per my rules. most likely, i’ve found the partner of my dreams with this muse and really only care to write with them regarding all future plots. you can locate my exclusives / mains list here.
004. TRIGGERING TOPICS ! please understand that there will undoubtedly be triggering topics on this blog. i will do my best to tag things of this nature, but please let me know if i miss a topic that you need tagged. i am always more than willing to tag something !
005. ACTIVITY ! although carter is one of my main blogs right now, i do have a few other blogs. i try to rotate my time fairly evenly, but sometimes one muse is louder than the others. this may inhibit my activity from time-to-time. additionally, i work full time in retail and am currently in graduate school, so i have responsibilities outside of tumblr. please be respectful of this. i do my best to post replies in a timely manner, though, so feel free to reach out about a reply if it’s been more than a week. i may have missed it.
