More tortured Loosier, but now they're a in a band in New York and pining for each other way too much. Continuation of San Antonio, you don't need to read it to understand this part, but I'd recommend as shit went down.
Yours truly has worked harder than Death himself and gotten this down. The following chapters will be longer, however I have no idea how many of them there will be. Expect it to be at least as long, if not longer, than the further, which was 35k words.

This part is finally done! I will start the second part of the series shortly and upload a link to it as well.
Went insane enough during math to get out of the artblock 🎉
I haven't drawn for a while, so enjoy these that I drew ~2 years ago.
You'll never catch me drawing Leckie again. Pure misery through it all. But it turned out well in the end! Also, I can't seem to fix the slight blurriness on Burgin, so that's that.
Dummy smile...
More The Pacific doodles! This time 2 Runners, Chuckler, and a Ugin. A bit shitty quality on the latter two, I zoomed in too much 😔
My classmate looks so much like James Badge Dale, especially in his role as Leckie, and it's freaking me out. Like tell me why I just had Leckie Reborn looming behind me today at lunch. Sometimes I look over at him and catch him smiling and my brain doesn't register him but only James because they have the same fucking devilish smile. I'm gonna go insane.
Lewis Reuben “Chuckler” Juergens Research Part 1:
Finally! Here we go- starting with the census record in 1920. Out of Team Leckie, Juergens is the oldest of the four and the only one born before 1920- so he actually shows up in this one. Btw- we're going to be jumping around the States a LOT- more than I was expecting for sure.
In 1920, Juergens shows up for the first time. And for some reason, they use his middle name as his first name- not sure why but it seems as if he's a junior?
At this time, Juergens is a year and half. His dad is 37- mom 29. Dad is the son of a German immigrant, and Mom is the daughter of two Irish immigrants. Does Dad speak German? Does Mom speak Gaelic? We don't know, but it's very possible they may have known some. At this point in time, Dad is a assistant manager at a soap company- no idea on wages, but doesn't seem like a bad place to be.
The house they're renting is this one here:
636 N Logan Street, Denver CO, is a Single Family home that contains 1915 sq ft and was built in 1910.It contains 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms
Their neighbors? A Swedish-American couple.
By 1930- we're in Chicago. Great Depression has just happened.
Interestingly enough, the Juergens are listed as renting an apartment- one that Mr. Juergens is noted as being the past owner of. Did he sell it off to make it ends meet? He's also a bonds salesman now- but unemployed and on the "schedule" though I'm not sure what that means. Perhaps on some sort of welfare?? Might be why he sold the apartment. Either way, not doin great! But they do own a radio!
Even more interesting- our boy "Chuckler" is 11, and in school, but is listed as being unable to read and write- neither can his mother. Yet on the 1920 census, she can read and write- my guess, is a typo.
This seems to be their house- I'm guessing it's a condo of some sort back in the day, with two separate apartments- still is, I think. From my research, this neighborhood was pretty solidly an immigrant one, and on the census there's a lot of second-gen irish, scottish, first gen welsh and even german. Additionally, based on some info from a friend actually from Chicago (I myself have never been there lol), that area may have been very popular with roman Catholic Germans pre-World War I. Knowing the Juergens are Catholic, and Mr. Juergens is a second gen German (his dad is born there), perhaps that's why they ended up there again. Especially if they used to own the place.
Stay tuned for pre-war census part 2! guess where we'll be in 1935- and it ain't Chicago.
Uhhhh doc roe if you couldn't tell😸. Never posted any of my drawings before… 😖 gulp.
