New Mod: Lively Towns

I was originally planning to upload this mod a while ago but ran into some issues and got distracted by other things. This mod adds a variety of object based services that can be placed on any venue type and will spawn a NPC to interact with. NPC roles can be manually assigned as well. This first release contains the following services to pick & choose: - Arts & Crafts Store - Book Store - Flower Store More services will be added in the future.

Harvestable Downloads Updated!

I’ve made a very large update to my harvestables and harvestable mods. I’ve also updated the individual posts to be a little simpler and hopefully easier to understand!

Some general updates/edits:

Fixed some textures inside of the Garden Plants file

Updated all plants for Tiny Living lot traits

Updated harvestables for University so they can be put into dorm chests

Updated some additional code in the harvestables

Added a poisonous mushroom buff to Amanita mushrooms if you eat them fresh

Added any special effect info to harvestable plant descriptions where applicable

Updated notebook tunings for harvestable plants

Updated Chanterelles and Shiitakes to be spliceable and graftable

Mice infestations with the Corn plants now have a chance to destroy the plants around it by reducing it to a seedling

All pumpkins now act as groundcover for nearby plants

Insect spawning from plants now relies on Outdoor Retreat, but I’ve created base game versions for those of you that don’t have it. This does not apply to all plants, just a few of them. 

The Garden Plant Effects Tuning file has been re-worked and comes with 2 files now instead of 1, please read the post for instructions. Some edits/updates regarding Plant Effects:

Insects will now spawn at different times for different plants instead of spawning all at once

Added Blue Morpho Butterfly spawn to Chanterelle & Shiitake

Added Firefly spawn to Cranberries

General clean up and re-organizing of tuning

If these work out well I’m going to be looking into adding some of these plant effects to EA’s plants as well.

THE TRAIT AND SKILL.

So teaching other sims unlocks at level 2 of sewing skill, there are some trait buffs for the designer when you sell your custom made pieces, draw some designs and actually go viral after posting your clothes on simstagram, simtok and tweeser. smol business check! If you sew without practicing and gaining skill level 6 you will destroy your fabric and have to buy a new units to restock half of the time if not all.

BUFFS FOR TRAITS AND SKILLS

Fixed the outfits change (now if you will wear the clothing, just the current outfit will be altered, not all of them)

Fixed the sewed clothing reflectivity (they are not shiny anymore)

(fixed)You can drag and drop clothing from inventory to the rack now

fixed:Sewed cloths will save on the rack with saving the game (they didn’t before)

fixed:If rack is full, next sewed cloths will go to Sim inventory now

fixed:You can fill the rack with the same type of clothing now if you want to, every sewed clothing goes to first empty position on the rack

Fixed some outside shadow issues

Fixed the animations for drawing and practice sewing (Sim now walks to the seat/from the seat instead jumping into position)

SEWING MACHINE INTERACTIONS.

The sewing machine has 4 pie menus and one interaction practice on paper. the supplies pie menu is supposed to keep you stocked up and without those supplies you cannot sew, every clothing has its  own requirements and if you do not have them a notification will pop up for you to get the supplies  names and number.

In order to sew you  also need a pattern so just draw one on the patterns and designs pie menu and if you forget always check your notifications or look at your inventory to see what you should be stocking up on the inventory on the supplies pie menu not the actual inventory.

SUPPLIES + PATTERNS AND DESIGHNS + SKILL = AWESOME CLOTHING

PATTERNS AND DESIGNS.

Now that you are skilled have the pattern and enough supplies you can start sewing and then the cloth itself has 8 interactions.

you need to set up an Esty shop to sell then post your clothing regularly on social media or to grow a following enough to go viral and make a sale , there’s a buff for going viral , the more you post the higher your chances of selling everyone needs to know your name. you can check your followers after posting the interaction will appear maximum are 10000

you can also wear the clothes yourself if you do not want to sell or put in inventory.

Toddler clothes , you can set active sim as toddler to wear the cloth or you can pick any toddler as an adult to dress .

How about tea ? (TSR)

This set was originally an attempt to use the new Tea set from Wedding stories, but it was too complicated as it couldn't be done without heavily modifying the tuning and create/tune all the props separately and... I'm still not there yet in terms of coding 😅 I decided to still keep the tray as decor and then expanded it to create a cute and quiet japandi atmosphere around it. I did make a brewer from the tea pot so it's still functional (and basegame compatible !) in that way.
