@cookiethestar here, i’ll copy paste what i wrote in discord:

i did this pre-college summer program in high school at a local art college. took an illustration class. the professor was weirdly intense and a massive dick (my friend who now goes to that college says he’s a problem even now).

we were given some short stories to choose to illustrate. one of them was this one by neil gaiman that involves this bag full of human bones.

We’re going through our rough draft sketches. Professor reaches like the third drawing of this bag. Goes “guys, i’m seeing this consistent issue of your bags not looking like they have bones in them. human bones are heavier than you think, i would know”

we’re all like “what the fuck does that mean”. he elaborates that his grandfather had a real human skeleton in his attic and he (the professor) would go up in the attic when he was young and learned human anatomy by drawing the skeleton.

we’re like “why did your grandfather have a skeleton in his attic”. he’s like “oh it probably wasn’t that ethical, we’re pretty sure he was in a cult.” then just moves on back to critiques of ppl’s sketches like he didn’t just say something absolutely insane
