I HATE sexuality stereotypes. Shit like “MLM are super feminine” and “WLW are super masculine.” That may be true for SOME MLM and WLW people but definitely not all. Want examples?
My 15 year old cousin, loves makeup, crushing on a guy, literally the goddess of crop tops and skinny jeans, adores pastel colors, short, skinny and not sporty. Guess what? She’s bisexual.
Her friend whose 14. He’s in the football team at their school, muscular, deep voice, likes lifting weights, is messy, is vulgar. Guess what? He’s gay.
Unfortunately for these two, due to their “positions at the school” they have to stay closeted. Why exactly? Cuz their personality will definitely be used to invalidate their sexualities.
Now to other friends of my cousin.
Her childhood friend. Sporty, vulgar, tomboy clothing all day, doesn’t really talk about boys, HATES makeup, no crop tops, no skinny jeans, no skirts, only dresses on special occassions. Guess what? She’s straight. There’s something called being a tomboy.
Her very new friend. High voice, loves theatre, hates sports, not vulgar, gossips, loves pastel colors. Guess what? He’s straight.
People constantly INSIST the two are lesbian and gay because of how they’re personalities. They say they’re straight but nobody believes them. So now its hard for the two to find the type of love they want because the school thinks “Oh a boy acting feminine? Gay. A girl acting masculine? Lesbian.”
What I’m trying to say is:
Straight men can be feminine.
Straight women can be masculine.
Personality doesn’t determine sexuality.
