The piece of shit actually had to think about it. Charlie almost felt bad for Effy, she didn’t deserve to have such an awful older brother. One who couldn’t even remember if he made her cry in pain. That just strengthens his resolve. “Am I interested in dating her?” he repeats slowly, emphasizing every word for absolutely no reason. Charlie liked unnerving his prey, it was satisfying to watch them struggle to guess what was coming next. “You’re an old fashioned man, aren’t you? Would I have to ask your permission?”
Standing up, he saunters closer like he’s just making friendly conversation. But once they’re within a foot of each other, he drops the act and there’s a dead look in his eyes that isn’t hard to interpret. “Funny that you mention discipline, Alex.” The glass in Charlie’s hand shatters against the back of Alex’s skull as he slams his hand into it, gripping Alex’s hair through the crushed glass and planting his face down onto the bar.
The smell is stronger now that he’s close, and he smells more than Fiona now. He smells her sex, and her want and her lust. That was his, all of that was his to wear like his favorite cologne. Not this piece of shit excuse for a vampire who beat his little sister and pretended it wasn’t for kicks. He’s lost count of the amount of times he’s introduced Alex’s face to the bar but he’s sure going to have to pay Bran for the repairs. Stepping back after a moment, he grabs the bottle of scotch he’d been sampling from earlier and pops it open to take a swig. His hand is a bloody mess but it’s nothing compared to Alex’s face.
“I definitely found pleasure in that,” he laughs, following it with another swig of liquor before kicking the stool out from under Alex. His boot connects with the other man’s side before he hears his sire’s scream. “Sorry Mom!” he says without looking at the doorway. Kneeling beside the other man, he grips him by the hair once more so that they’re looking into each other’s eyes. “Don’t touch my stuff, or you won’t like what I do with yours. Hmm?”
It all happens too fast and he can’t feel his face anymore after the third crack. Alex didn’t even get a chance to answer Charlie’s questions, but permission is definitely never going to be given after this. No one in the room even bothered to stop the attack, but Alex could smell at least four different people nearby. Maybe they were too afraid, but Alex thinks it could be something else entirely.
His brain is starting to feel like it has a glitch because of the amount of times his skull meets the wood of the bar. When it all stops, Alex wonders if it’s over. He hopes it is because he actually can’t move any of his limbs right now. There must have been damage to his spinal cord, sure it’ll fix itself later but it fucking hurts. That’s when the stool disappears from under him and he smacks his head one more time against a surface. At least he can lay on the floor for awhile.
Alex hates this person, absolutely one hundred percent wants to burn him alive. When they meet eyes again, he can’t form anything coherent yet. His voice is a bunch of gurgles and noises until his face meets the floor again. How long would it take him to heal from these wounds? He’s not sure, but he’s definitely not going to sleep with Fiona again.
