To summarise, this occurs after all of the ancients awaken and their respective beasts flee, making their way back to the COD hideout.
Just as they arrived, they began planning a revenge attack, this time planning to include the ultimate cookie who had just been awakened, this being part of a plan to guilt trip Pure Vanilla cookie, and/or any other ancient that was attached to the oven trio (Brave, Strawb and Wiz).
Some time forward, a continuation of the dark flour war began, Dark Enchantresses forces arose and attacked in crispia, where everyone resided for more damage to property. The ancients had suspicions of this set of events, but the kids were never told about it to keep them sane (heh if they knew the horrors they have faced…).
In the battlefield, the beasts are attacking their respective ancient counterparts, who defend with their allies to as much extent as they can, and the oven trio was no exception…they were able to keep up sort of fine, as they have fought the cakes before, until a certain cookie was introduced to the battlefield.
The ultimate cookie was instructed to aim for Gingerbrave, separating him from his friends to corner him. As their name implies, they were much stronger than brave was, and he was struggling to keep up with them…yet he persisted, staying strong to protect himself and everyone around him…thing that didnt go unnoticed by the ultimate cookie.
The Ultimate Cookie knew that he wouldn’t give up, so they changed tactics and aimed for a certain mage, who did not expect the sudden attack. Thankfully, Strawberry was there to save him from the slash of their sword, yet her own mace/lolipop had to be damaged in exchange, leaving her defenseless in most cases.
Just as such happened, the ancients began getting cornered, and with the beasts having even more anger and determination to defeat them, they began to lean into the winning side of the conflict.
Strawberry was handed an axe belonging to a defeated cake monster, which she used to help brave, though Wizard cookie could not do the same since he had run out of mana…everything was happening too quickly, so he was forced to flee.
Back at a safe spot, he felt guilty for not being able to help…yet a certain memory about listening to the tale of how the beasts were sealed brought him hope.
It was a witch that did it…perhaps he could try and find that very spell and use it on the beasts if he tried hard enough…he had a witches wand after all, it would be too selfish not to try…
He left a note back at the shelter for his friends, and left. Left to the most forbidden areas on earthbread, if it even could be called that anymore. Witch territory. His first destination was the home of the very witch he took his wand from, this was done to find a certain note left by her on her desk, as she was too forgetful to remember the directions to the rest of the places where the other members of her coven reside. This was not too difficult, given that he had learned how to read Witchtongue (this is how I will be calling the human/witch language).
His journey began, and he had to do this quick…at a time like this there was no room for mistakes or flaws. Eventually, he made it to what was supposed to be the home of the silver witch (nickname given to the witch responsible for sealing the beasts). He checked for any open windows, of which there were none…or not? There was an open window leading to the attic, which would be hard to reach…its climbing time.
With a thud, our short mage plopped into the nearest cabinet to the window, only to be spotted by a…human? A witch? No…it was smaller, perhaps…?
“Hello, Little Guy!” She said, it was her daughter.
He felt helpless…but he had to survive. He tried to put a cute face and hid his wand behind himself the best he could in hopes for her to have mercy on him…only for her to…not do anything?
“Im Olivia! What is your name?” Olivia was her name…at least he can know her by some name now…yet a problem remains. He has never spoken to a witch before.
She took him elsewhere…what seems to be the living room of the small yet cozy home, where a seemingly old yet surprisingly healthy woman sat on a rocking chair, skitting something. Unlike her daughter, she was much more calm…and thats where it clicked. That was her. Thats the silver witch herself.
Olivia presented the white-haired cookie to her mother like a cat would show a rat it caught to its owner, in return, she placed her knitting tools on a small hand-woven basket, before turning to face her daughter.
“What an adorable cookie! Where did you find it?” She said, she didn’t seem like a witch at all…not anymore at least, perhaps she has retired already. Seeing a cookie you didn't bake must be akin to finding food you didn't make on your kitchen counter, which worried the Wizard.
Her attention moved towards something behind the cookie…uh oh.
She grabbed the tiny mage, who didn’t struggle against her grip to prevent angering her, before turning him around to have a look at his wand. Expecting the worse, Wizard cookie braced himself in fear, his face buried deep inside his cream scarf, but what happened next was that he heard her…chuckle? What was so funny?
“Do not fear, little one, for I will not harm you…I know that you can understand me.” She told him, receiving a slow, shaky turn from the cookie in response. “What brings you here? I don’t recall baking…ice cream cookies.” She asked him…for witches sake, how would he reply?? Perhaps he could speak, but would she hear him? Its worth giving it a shot.
“I…need help…” He managed to mutter in a shaky tone, holding his wooden wand close to his chest. “The beast cookies…they’re back and worse than before…we can barely keep up…” he added.
As a result of that, the silver witch sighed. “I would…but I cannot do it myself. Im afraid that those times are over, but you are not helpless, for that wand of yours proves that you can do it.” She explained, receiving a confused look from the pastry. “With my help of course, I’ll teach you my ways, that if you are willing to learn, my friend.” She offered, extending the pinky finger of her free hand and placing it in front of Wizard cookie, who reached for a handshake (or at least the closest thing they had to that).
