why the term elitist needs to be scrapped and why it’s irrelevant. 

elitists originally were used while describing people who used graphics at a time when they were seen as unneeded and unpopular.  so, basically, if you use graphics or icons you’re pretty much elitist. 

elitist is a term that put down many people with different talents because they didn’t fit “into the norm. “

so … yeah elitist came from jealousy.  elitist came from others using an excuse such as graphics and format to put someone down. 

remember that elitist is a term used to demean someone and take away any credibility to the hard work they might have put into their character, blog or reputation.  this was an easy dismissal for people who might have wanted to take down another blog.

elitist was a term used to describe someone who kept to themselves and their friend group back in the day.  so, basically by being independent or private you’re technically “elitist” anyways.  as we’ve learned now its better to be selective for your own safety and mental health.

i am just joking - none of the stuff above makes you an elitist!  so stop allowing people to say so!  Be different / be mainstream!  who cares? 

having a friend group is not elitist.  having a friend group is healthy because it allows encouragement and growth in a person and a community. having friends is better than being alone amirite? 

according to a statistical study done in 2017 ( jk ) matching urls have never caused a hysteria nor are they harmful. if someone wants to match with their friends ( its simple ) its not even a second of thought worth fussing about.  

stop using a term that has been used for years to put anyone and everyone down. not everyone is going to get along on tumblr.  not everyone is going to be friends,  but you should never shame someone for that.
