You are your father’s daughter. Stubbornness and pride. Mind what he says, but remember, you may hear a voice inside.

#everyone is always talking about chyler’s acting #now let’s talk about floriana’s acting
Remember in season 1 when the show actually cared about asking ‘what makes a hero?’ This is the answer. Maggie is a hero. Other people have written lovely meta about how traumatic this would have been for Maggie - to get outted at 14 in a small town. She says she lived with her aunt for 3 years, which suggests she left the day she turned 18. Maggie Sawyer didn’t have a support system. She didn’t have a sister who said, “I love you no matter what.” She didn’t have a mother who said “I will always be proud of you.” And it hurts. All these years later. But instead of passing that hurt on, Maggie tries to make it better for Alex. She does everything in her power to make sure Alex - who is a grown woman, not a kid - doesn’t go through what Maggie went through.
This should have been the foundation of the episode. Not because of #sanvers and not even because of Maggie specifically (although yes ffs she deserves more screen time) but because this is how you tell stories about heroism. And really, the show has done this three times this season:
1. M’gann standing up to her people and refusing to kill again 2. Lena standing up to her mother and refusing to be part of the Luthor legacy of hurting people 3. Maggie, standing up to her own past, refusing to let another woman hurt the way she did.
These are the stories we the audience deserve to see but instead, because its The CW, we get…yikes.
I DONT EVEN WATCH THIS SHOW BUT THIS IS THE FUNNIEST VIDEO IVE EVER SEEN
