Sorry, everyone, I absolutely swear that I’m not on hiatus-hiatus. There was Anime North last weekend, but my mom was sick for a good chunk of the trip ever since we had gotten on the plane to go there and I must’ve caught what she had or some sort of con plague because I’ve had a cough, fever, fatigue, and occasional migraines ever since we got back. I have cold medicine that’s been kinda helping, though. Unfortunately, next week is when my senior at work is taking her vacation week so I have a full work week ahead of me.

So I’m gonna try to get on when I can, but I just wanted to let you guys know that I haven’t forgotten about this place and I still want to play and RP, but it just might take awhile for everything to even out before I can really settle back in.

Sorry for the absence, everyone. Over the weekend I got busy with our tiny kitten having a maggot in her head; we had to take her to the animal hospital to get it removed safely with surgery. Then I got absorbed with packing and preparing for Anime North this weekend because with my work schedule this week, Thursday morning will be come home from work, take a bath, and head straight to the airport so packing over the weekend was the only time I was gonna have time for doing it.

That being said, unfortunately I’m gonna have to say that I’m gonna take a break until we come home Monday night, but then next week I can definitely get to replies, I promise!! Thank you all for being so patient!

“At the very least you can’t argue with the mood of this place,” Thomas spoke out, drink in hand. “Such a friendly atmosphere, just as promised, and the catering is nothing to snuff at for such a mixed group.” To emphasize his point, he tipped the bubbly, pale brew to his lips and took a deep sip, though hardly able to enjoy it as he immediately caught Katherine’s wrist as she dove for his coat pocket yet again. Furrowing his brows, he gave his sister a tired look when he saw her huffy expression. “Why are you being such a child about this? It’s just a hunk of jewelry.”

He couldn’t understand the obsession with it. Their uncle was a jeweler and the bracelets they were given by the fortune teller were relatively the same as everyone else’s in attendance; in Thomas’s mind she had much more impressive, unique pieces at home.

Despite that, Katherine still scoffed at his remark. “The point is that it’s my hunk of jewelry. He gave it to me,” she replied sternly. “Is it so important for you to keep both of them? You also have the nerve to call me childish when you snatched it out of my hands first. I barely had a chance to look at it!”

Thomas side and let go of her wrist to shuffle in his pocket. “You do remember that Uncle Jim is an artisan jeweler, right?” He pinched both of the bracelets between his fingers and took them out, letting them dangle in his grip as he examined them. “Not only could he remake an exact replica for you, but with diamonds and gold and not this—oh…” He hadn’t noticed before when they first received them, but the bracelets had a higher value than he had first realized. “These are genuine silver…”

“Is that so?” Katherine asked, though using the distraction to pluck her bracelet from his grip when she identified it through the subtle difficulties between them. “Either way, the design of them is darling,” she spoke as she worked on fastening it around her wrist. “If you’re not fond of yours, perhaps you should give it to Mother when we return home.”

Thomas tucked the remaining bracelet back in his pocket and leaned in close to Katherine’s ear. “Perhaps, if they’re truly innocent baubles and not something more sinister.”

Katherine was unfazed by his insinuations as she continued to admire the piece. “You think they might be? You think this little trinket will try to poison me or strangle me in my sleep?”

“Certain…’organizations’ have certain or ways of identification. Such as a ring with a specific gemstone worn on a certain finger. If something fishy’s truly going on in this place, for all we know these bracelets indicate who’s ripe to pluck off the middle of the streets in the dark of night.” He straightened his back and started to speak up again so no one would catch onto their gossiping. “But it’s just a theory. It might just be a gift from a enthusiastic psychic who apparently has money to burn. However, I’d recommend you don’t wear it outside of these gatherings just in case.”

“I forgot how fun you are at parties.” Though Katherine’s sarcasm was apparent in her comment, Thomas’s reasoning did hold some potential truth. “But you’re right in that as long as we’re with this herd, we should be free to explore. We should try to inquire some regulars. Perhaps there might even be someone we know.”

Sorry, I forgot to make a post last night, but I might be a bit scarce or may not be able to get online at all until Friday night or Saturday. I work tonight and Thursday and my job is kinda physically laboring so depending on how bad the workload is, it can really wear me out between shifts. It’s gotten better since all the big holidays are over, but the bakery might get hit a little hard with Mother’s Day being this weekend so there might be a lot to catch up on each night.

When I get home in the morning tomorrow I’ll try and see if I can get to replies, but I may clonk out as soon as I get home.

RP Blog Priorities

I know I’m just starting to get back into the swing of things and my feelings might change later on, but if I’m going to come back then I want to share my feelings with my current blogs.

cobaltclayton: My Clayton RP blog. As many probably know, he’s my most popular Kuro blog even from several years back before my initial delete of my account. He is my son and I will never give him up. (Maybe one day you’ll get a canon first name, precious child.)

thepureluckfox: My Joanne Harcourt RP blog. From when he first appeared in the Weston arc I knew this sweet boy would need more love. I love his character and the characters I normally play tend to be on the more straightforward, cranky side so I’d enjoy getting to play Joanne’s character more.

Wow…um…yeah, it’s definitely been awhile. I’m extremely sorry about that.

I mean, in my head there’s a part of me that thinks “at least I announced a hiatus this time instead of disappearing completely”, but I still made pecks that I was going to come back soon and I didn’t and I feel really bad about that.

I just got caught up in my work and other things while my muse spent a lot of time flopping around, drowning in shallow water. 

But, I really want to try and come back this time around. Not sure if I’ll be super active, but I’m gonna try! I’ll start by trying to find some ask box stuff to reblog to get used to writing again. If you guys feel like it, you should send me stuff!

Hey, guys!

Unfortunately, I’m still on hiatus for the time being. I got a new job recently; it’s a 10pm-6am shift at a bakery and I love the work and that I’m getting a steady source of income, but I’m still trying to get used to all the running around and such I have to do. I’m sincerely hoping I can start at least popping back in on here in the near future once I really settle into the routine.

But I finally got around to reading the last couple of chapters and OH MY GOD!!! I must’ve been making the dopiest faces at the computer screen because I loved all of it and I couldn’t keep myself from smiling. I love that they brought those characters back (and I totally called that Clayton would be hot with his hair messed up; God bless you, Yana, I nearly cried when I saw my baby).

Ah, sorry, had to gush. Anyways, sorry for not checking in as often as I should; I miss everyone and I hope you’re all doing well. I really hope I can get back to RPing on here sooner rather than later. And to any newcomers who might’ve stumbled on my blogs or anyone who wanted to RP but didn’t get the chance before I went on hiatus, know that you can always message me and I promise I’ll get back to you as soon as I come back! <3<3

Hiatus Announcement

As much as I hate to do so, I’m feel the fairest thing for me to do is officially announce my RP blogs to be on hiatus. This probably isn’t surprising giving my lack of activity the past couple of months, but I felt it was best to make an official post.

I came back seriously hoping to be in the swing of things and I love Kuroshitsuji and all the friends and followers I’ve made through the RP community for it, but since I came back from my initial hiatus I’ve just hit a mental wall. I’ve been working with my doctor to start antidepressants and figure out the right dosage, but despite slight changes that have been for the better, I still haven’t had the mind or muse for writing. I’ve been holding out hoping things’ll change, but for months I’ve been coming back to the blog, promising that I’m going to try to get to replies, and then disappearing again for weeks, and it’s not fair to my followers and the people I’m in RPs with.

So I feel like the fairest thing to do for my followers is just officially put my blogs on hiatus until further notice. Ideally, I’d love to come back within a few months or at least by the end of the year, but overall I just feel like I should stop this back and forth of me promising to come back and get to replies and then not doing so. I love and appreciate all of you guys and I seriously hope to fully come back someday soon, but I feel like the fastest way for me to do that is to step back and focus on getting the issues in my outside life sorted.

If you want to unfollow for the impending inactivity, I totally understand, but thank you all for being so amazing and patient with me for so long!

((Hey everyone! I’m so sorry for being absent, I’ve been sucking a lot of lasagna the past couple of months but some good news is that a few days ago I was able to go to a doctor’s appointment and got a prescription for antidepressants. It’s a very low dosage to start off with and it might take a few weeks or even a month to -fully- kick in, but I’m starting to feel magnitudes better so I have high hopes that it might help me get my muse back and make it easy for me to socialize! I just wanna thank you guys so much for being so patient with me because I feel like I’ve been mentally slugging through life for months and I’m really hoping that starting this prescription will put me on the track to feeling normal again.))

((Sorry again, everyone. Yet again, I wanna say that I’m still active on here, but lately I’ve just been a bit sick. Sick physically, sick with depression. Not fun stuff. Which sucks because I really loved the new chapter. I’m hoping to set up a doctor’s appointment soon so maybe I can get some of the problems I’ve been having under control.
