oh yeah!
well my loves, i’m going to sign off now. Thank you for squandering a few minutes with me. I will never forget this time we had together. Also, since we are on the gishwhes tumblr, let’s do this: I will be calling people who register at gishwhes.com for the next hour I will call as many new registrants as i can (i’ll email you for your phone number). (I’ll also call some people who have previously registered.) I talk about gishwhes a lot because i love it. I love seeing the art people make, the mayhem that ensues, the seemingly impossible things that are achieved, the sheer weirdness of it all. For me, it’s one week when a corner of the world is functioning as it should. Join in. (And make sure your ringer is on so you answer when i call in the next hour).
Breathe - How Can I Fall
Wow, this takes me back. I was in love with David Glasper’s voice and had the biggest crush on Ian “Spike” Spice.
The videos take me back to my 14th (?) birthday. We lived in San Diego, and my sister, my friend Anna, and Anna’s sister, and a few other friends went to Fashion Valley Mall. That’s where I got the VHS cassette containing my beloved Breathe videos which I still have and adore to this day…even though our VHS player is in a box in the garage.
the use of slang is more than an I.Q.
nuff said - http://m.urbandictionary.com/#define?term=nuff%20said OMWord, lol lol lol! Who makes up the supposed "true" meanings on urban dictionary? According to some UD statements, "People use it to bluff others by pretending like there is much more to say, when in reality they can't think of anything to add that is important or useful". "When translated from idiot speak, it means "I've said enough BS for right now, and if I said anymore, it would be beyond my low IQ of 40." As for me, in the use of the statement "nuff said", I'm not throwing bs to support a point due to lack of info on a given topic. I use it because... a). I'm in a relaxed mood. b). When I truly have shared my thought(s). c). Bottom line, it's just slang which I use often. This in no way means I or people who may choose to speak in slang from time to time have a low I.Q./bluffing when using #nuffsaid or #slang. Sometimes as I come across sites like UD, it can remind of wikipedia. Mind you, some info on these pages can inform and have become a popular go to spot. But it can floor me at times to read these pages :). Take it EZ
INDIFFERENCE...these days it may take more to get a helping hand. why? because there could be more going on than we see...
I remember when Tears for Fears said they wouldn’t get a Twitter because words are valuable and shouldn’t be thrown around like that
and now they got a Tumblr
- Hi knatroka, I agree with this statement >> "words are valuable and shouldn’t be thrown around like that". think of it this way, if enough ppl are still talking about your music 10, 20, 30 to 40 yrs after you made it and performed the first concerts plus, they are still solid live performers...why not? What's your thoughts on bands such as TFF and the like that are now doing the net sites such as this one? I'm just curious to your take. for example, I just came across a Rosemary Clooney site. she was a singer back in the days of the 40's and 50's. I must say I like her voice though I don't know much of her music. at the time, I was looking for music as a gift for my mom several years ago via net I learned of her. Rosemary C was the aunt of George Clooney
- ottenskjold, ummm...how are they sell outs??? I've seen much talk on TFF not really being on net and yet when they put themselves out there they are then called sell outs. what should they do if and when ppl are wanting them to be on net? btw, they might be in the works of making a new album and the net has been the way for lots of bands to get their music to the ppl. I still like going in the stores but hey, how many like getting the music right at the tip of their fingers? plenty of ppl do, just sayin'. suggestions for TFF other than the net thing?? I can think of so many bands not wanting to be on net as well and they too still have the desire to make music...aaaaand that's a band's job, to make music if and when they want to.
I will add that it is up to us as the begging public to live up to our end of the deal once a band, actor, star etc is showing they will be on the net. that means we should talk up the band when we can, buy merch, go to the shows as well. trust me, check out how a band/star is sounding before you buy ticket but keep in mind an artist may tweak their craft as it is their right to explore their creativity. some may like it and some may not. but that's what the net is about...checking out what you like and the shows you wish to see.
Breathe - All This I Should Have Known
My not so new obsession with this band! Most importantly, with David Glasper's voice!!! I have always got his vibe on a deep to the bones level!!!

Japan Relief Packs
The letter below was sent to me from my Soldiers' Angels team: http://soldiersangels.org/
Dear Angels,
Dear Soldiers’ Angel,
Right now I have 10,000 Soldiers’ Angels Relief Packs designated for the USS Ronald Reagan, the aircraft carrier heading to Japan as part of the U.S. relief efforts following the recent tragic earthquake.
And I’m hoping these 10,000 Relief Packs are the first of many more that we’ll send in a second wave. Our troops will fly them from the carrier group to shore, to be distributed by our servicemen and women as part of our official “Operation Tomodachi” - - Japanese for “friendship.” I’m sure your heart was broken, as mine was, at the sight of the terrible ruins, the loss of life, and the hundreds of thousands now without a home.
I’m thankful that our troops are leading the way in the relief efforts, and I’m also thankful that we’ve been asked to be a key part.
I didn’t know what else to do but write my most loyal and generous friends and supporters. This is an emergency appeal for your help. I am writing to ask you to make your very best tax-deductible contribution for this massive relief effort to Japan while keeping the other Soldiers’ Angels programs going.
Please click here to make your tax-deductible donation for the Relief Efforts in Japan
I realize I’m asking you to make a personal sacrifice. Thank you so much for attending today to this matter of urgent importance!
Sincerely,
Patti Patton-Bader Founder, Soldiers' Angels
P.S. Our troops will be distributing the first 10,000 Soldiers’ Angels Relief Packs to the Japanese devastated by the record 8.9 scale earthquake.

RT @ebonymeme: #Adults are just children who earn money.
Me: Ain't that the #truth! Sometimes we might be better off learning from our children. Innocence is so refreshing. Don't be afraid to be humble/vulnerable. That's when we can learn the best lessons life has to offer. Therefore, it's not a sign of weakness... it can become a side of strength.

Tinkering with my computer. Out with Windows Vista! Dropping Windows 7 Professional on my computer... Next, installing Office Professional. One thing on my wish list is, Adobe Master Collection because this software would meet our geek/techie needs. For now, we may need to settle for Adobe Design Premium. It's not shabby by any means. This will allow hubby to continue to create neat artwork & stuff :o)
I had to say it...
I guess this will sum it up no matter who you are & where you work... I'm grateful for having a new day. I'm grateful for being able to make a difference in my life, in my lil' world. We should be grateful that we have friends, family, co-workers, strangers or the net to complain to. In the end put aside all the fluff, just be grateful. It's a small thing to do but can be a heavy load if you only look at what others have or don't have. We are not guaranteed another day. Love what you have today more than material things. Love & give back to your future & legacy... that's your children, friends and family. #grateful for the little things will lead to a bigger reward. #respect!!

Thank you all so much for making the Battle Studies tour such a huge success and a pleasure. I’m going to miss seeing your faces every night. Thanks for singing along. And for accepting me. You don’t know how good that feels. And thanks for the signs, the clever, funny, awesome signs. And for...
I haven't had the pleasure in seeing you perform live yet. I lived vicariously through your posts. I must admit you do live an amazing life with the love of music in your heart. When you are able to touch us with your soul & we, the fans are able to express our thoughts to you, I feel there is a connection or bond set in a moment in time that will forever be remembered.
I Hope to not only see some of your live performances & of course would be the ultimate honor to meet you. Not to just have a picture with you & post it. But to be able to truly let you know what your music has done for me & while serving in the army. Many times I would fall asleep while listening to your music. Your calming voice would soothe my cares away. In fact, I bought my second JM cd just before I shipped out to basic training. Though, you wrote a thank you note to us, your fans, my reply is: No thanks needed on my end. Because you have filled my life with meaningful moments & soul dancing.- Traci
