2021 was very, very rough, and I guess I went a little over the top when buying dolls to compensate (though in fairness, some of those were paid for in 2020!)

I don’t plan on buying a lot more dolls in the future. I have one that’s coming in 2022, and I’ll need a body for Xue Yang, possible a new body for male!Xichen because I’m getting annoyed at the current one (but it’s not urgent), and maybe I’ll get another 30cm doll for an OC, but that’s it.

My plans for 2022 are to work on the dolls I own so they have more clothes and accessories, maybe redo a few faceups. I have one or two dolls I might try to sell. I am also trying to sculpt my own dolls (a mature 25cm and a 40cm one) so that should also be a fun experience. Mostly though, I hope I will have more time and occasions to play with all my dolls. I want to take them places again, and take pictures in new settings!!

my main bjd problem is that I really like smaller dolls (40cm and under) because it’s a great size to play with and carry around

but I clearly prefer the aesthetics of very big dolls, because they get to have realistic features and cool outfits and accessories

He’s the latest addition to my mdzs gang. He wasn’t... planned to be Xue Yang, but it happened and I have almost no regret except for the fact that I now need to look for a Xiao Xingchen

I hope to get him more accurate eyes in the future (something more red? This one is one of the many, many, many yellow eyes that didn’t work for Xichen), a different wig, and of course I have to make him a donghua accurate outfit!
