Hello, everyone! This is my gift story for the @bakutodo-exchange!
“Ah, Shoto, my love, you’ve wrinkled your trousers again.”
“Sorry, Mama,” Shoto mumbled in apology, looking down at his feet while his mother kneeled in front of him. His mother tutted soothingly, then reached for where his tiny fists were curled into the fabric of his preschool uniform. She uncurled his fingers from the fabric, then smoothed out the wrinkles, pat by pat. Shoto’s hands itched to start fisting his pants again, unable to contain the anxiety swirling within him, but he resisted. He wouldn’t want to disappoint his mom by wrinkling his crisp, clean school clothes on the first day at his new preschool.
Rei sensed his apprehension, and she raised her hand to gently lay them on Shoto’s cheeks.
“I know it’s scary, starting at a new school. But you’ll make lots of friends! It’s going to be fun, you’ll see!” she reassured him. Despite her assurances, Shoto could see the guilt swirling around in her slate-gray eyes. The reason that he was starting at a new preschool was because she’d divorced his father and moved all the children across town. Of course she would be feeling responsible for Shoto’s anxieties.
Shoto reached up to lay his hands over his mother’s, and despite his lingering worries, he smiled brightly at her.
“Thank you, Mama. I’ll be okay now.”

EVENT SCHEDULE:
October 26: Sign-ups open
November 20: Sign-ups end.
November 29: Exchange assignments will be sent out in batches. Check your email and contact us if you don't have an assignment by the 29th.
January 4: First check-in.
Prompts should be decided on by this date.
Writers should have an outline or 500 words or more written.
Artists should have a sketch.
January 10: Ghost drop date. If a gifter has not responded by this date we will assume they have dropped out.
January 13: Gift reassignments released!
February 1: Second check-in.
Writers should have 1000 words or more.
Artists should be halfway finished with final rendering.
February 7: Second ghoster drop. If a gifter has not responded by this date we will assume they have dropped out.
February 9: Second ghoster reassignment.
February 14: Gifting day!
Gift Requirements:
Fanfiction must be a new work min. of 1500 words, fulfill the prompt given, and be complete.
Fanart must be a new work, have at least some color (or gray scale), and fulfill the prompt given.
Both should include Bakugou and Todoroki in some capacity.
Extensions:
Anyone who asks for an extension must choose a date their work will be completed by. If they do not post by the end of their chosen date they will be considered dropped and their prompt reassigned.
