A Doll In The Night
I had a bad dream this morning. Something about an evil doll. Some sort of chucky like thing, that was haunting me and my brother. Anyhow I woke up kind of frightened and lonely. Kayla had gone into the next room to watch a TV show, and in my sleep I suppose I noticed her absence. I went to see her and tell her of my dream and her response was for me to go back to bed. I was honestly real butt hurt. She was watching this show called Bridgeton, some sort of British historical fiction about a half black family in the english courts in early 1900s. The girl absolutely refused to allow me into the room while she watched it. To which, I was at first upset, I admit. Now though I realize that she was only just sensitive about me seeing it because she knows that I would find the show rather silly. She was nervous I would make fun, I'm sure. The show is on now, and I understand her apprehension. I find it ridiculous and corny. Not because of the content, but because of the content and the context that it is presented in. Like, it presents itself seriously and takes itself serious, but it's all so hilariously Disney.
The mountains often catch me by surprise.
