So at therapy on Tuesday, I noticed that my Therapist said something like: "because you're Non Binary, you don't feel sexual feelings"

And I'm stunned because the poor guy thought that Gender and Sexuality were the same thing.

So I explained (poorly mind you) that Asexual is an Attraction.

Like if you're Allosexual your sexual attraction is a magnet that sticks to metal, meanwhile my sexual attraction is a lump of wood ^^;

Then for Non Binary I very poorly explained that Gender is more of an identity that may differ from your sex/body.

And I closed with my preferred name and my pronouns (they/them but you can use he/him if you really want)

I think he kind of got it, but I really didn't explain it very well ^^;

It was also at the end of our session too ^^;

Rambles and Complaints

ok, so you know that Very normal tween to teen experience where you're terrified to shop in the opposite gender's section because it will make you that gender and you're absolutely NOT Allowed to be that gender cuz then you wont be a person worthy of love and acceptance?

or that other Very normal teen (14-16) experience where you forget your name for a few seconds because your online names are more you than that name? and you want to change your name but realize that you're not allowed to and that you have to be trapped with the name that you were given even though it's not you and is tied to someone else's journey?? My given name by the way means: New Beginning cuz I was a New Beginning in my Dad's life ^^;

When I told My sister that my Name felt more like a prison (Feelings are deceiving, or so I was told) she was confused and then told me to tell Dad what I told her. So I did and they both dogpiled on me about how I was being disrespectful and that my name means a lot to Dad and then asked me what name I wanted. When I told them they both made faces and said how they will NOT be calling me that, how the name doesn't suit me, and how that name is Not me, how they already spent 34 years of calling me my birth name and wont be changing for me even if I get my name legally changed. The sad part is, the name I picked is still inline with the gender they want me to be and I had picked out the name about 3 years before discovering that I'm Non Binary. I wasn't even asking them to change what pronouns they use for me. Just what name they call me by. But now every time I get a package that uses My Chosen Name Dad will look at me and say: That's not your name. or when we go on my Amazon Prime account to watch shows for Pizza time Dad: which account are we under? Me: Mine, Chosen Name Dad: No! That's Not Your Name!

I'm sorry, I guess I've been rambling a bit too long lol ^^;

Thoughts

You know, I'm kinda terrible at social interactions and so far have primarily just been posting my art when I can.

So I was thinking that I might start posting my complaints into the void ^_^

I hope that's ok with everyone following me ^_^

New Redraw!! ^_^

So with this one originally I drew Mesi traditionally and coloured her on the computer ^_^ the original BG was a picture I got from google back then since I couldn't draw backgrounds at the time, and certainly not with a mouse and keyboard ^^;

originally I made Mesi Egyptian since I haven't seen many Egyptian Mermaids ^_^ Unfortunately Mesi fell victim to the "Artist didn't know what to do" and so now she has one arm ^^;

I did update the Eel to be a Spotted Eel so it would be more accurate But I cannot say the same for the plant life, that was based more on what was cool ^^;

I remember having a bit of fun with the lighting and shading with this one ^_^

also the burning of the LuciDuck is kinda funny to me ^_^

So after watching the Season 2 finally, I just had to draw Alastor ^_^ he is Such an icon ^_^ So I made the BG loosely combining the bookshelf from Alastor's hotel room and his murder cabin and of course I had to make it as shiny as possible lol ^_^

Also I know his shadow doesn't make sense, but I'm not changing it lol ^^;
