EMMA STONE CĹur Battant Fragrance for Louis Vuitton | 2019
I was not a quiet kid. Itâs weird because I confuse myself with my personality because half of me is like, a total ham performer â like class clown. And the other half of me is a terrified, âeverything has to be perfect or the whole world is gonna fall apartâ anxious type. As a kid, those two sides were so confusing to try to marry.
Just as they reach the door, and as David steps out, Mia turns and looks back at Sebastian. He looks at her.
Their eyes lock.
A hint of a tear in both⌠And, ever so subtly, for just a fleeting second, Mia smiles.
Itâs the kind of smile you could miss if you blinked â but itâs enough to signal to Sebastian that she recognized the melody he played, and that she still remembers it, and still thinks of it to this dayâŚ
Then she walks out the door.

I remind myself to be kind to myself, and as slightly ridiculous as it may sound, to treat myself in the same gentle way Iâd want to treat a daughter of mine. It really helps.

iâm actually lucky enough to have worked with jessica and she was incredibly inspiring, i canât say how excited i was getting to watch her work. iâm seriously looking forward to seeing her in it chapter two which is getting closer and closer, her and james together. oooooof. thank you so much, emma. youâve been so cool to talk to and really just as down to earth as i predicted you would be. hopefully all of us next gen actors donât let you down.Â
Sheâs incredible, right? We were together in The Help and she gave one of my favorite performances ever in that. I am equal parts excited and absolutely terrified for the second installment of It! The first was so, so good but I am such a wimp... usually I wait for things to come out on Netflix so I can watch them with all the lights on but I donât think I can leave it that long. If Iâm never not down to earth, feel free to give me a slap. I highly doubt you could ever disappoint me, Diana!

We are truly lost without the shake! And thatâs actually an amazing motto even if itâd kind of make me a parody of myself. But Iâm all here for it and having you as a supporter is everything - maybe youâd be my vice president? But itâd be a joint effort in the end, of course, youâve got all the brains.
I would be the worst vice president, I would have way too much anxiety for that and way too much fear of judgment from the public. Oh, please, youâre one of the smartest people I know, donât go talking down my best friend â I love her.
Why do we want other people to like us, even if we donât really care about them all that much?

amazing and not to mention hilarious, i can just picture myself running around screaming ânot the candy drop buttonsâ at everyone whoâll listen to me. i have to agree there is something to be said for the way opportunities fall into our laps. i wouldnât have hated getting a little bit more practice acting when i was younger, but for the most part i feel like itâs just come natural to me so far. i guess thatâs all thanks to my sparkling personality. listen, iâll save my screams for later when iâm thinking back on this conversation, i want to be able to spare your ears for now. iâm really really glad you think so, âcause if you think it there must be truth in it.Â
I can already hear it in my ears, what an iconic line. You seem like a natural to me! You can have all the lessons and jobs in the world but I think if acting is meant for you, itâs meant for you. I mean, Jessica Chastain didnât start acting until later (i.e. not that late at all, but later than her teens) in her life and look at her now. You have a beautiful personality, as far as I can tell! Thank you for the consideration. And I try to be truthful 99% of the time, this is definitely one of those. Iâm so excited for the next gen of actors.
Comedyâs my first love. I love that so much. You play comedy in drama, too. The difference between genres doesnât really change the method of acting.Â
larsonhqs¡:
Donât say you love me more than Jen cause she might try to kill me. Iâve been laying low these past few months, taking trips, healing myself, all that fun stuff. How about you? Whatâs been keeping you busy?
Kill you or kill me? Or both of us? She could take us both out with an arrow. That sounds like an amazing time and a well-deserved rest! Iâve been doing some voice work, prepping for Cruella, breaking my bones, you know, the usual.
disilvers¡:
i mean i canât say i havenât considered it but i think if i was really going to pay homage to shrek iâd want to dress up as the gingerbread man. costumes are so much fun, i love getting dressed up and pretending that iâm someone else, makes me regret not having done more acting when i was younger. thereâs so much tension between the two of them iâm really waiting for things to blow up, especially after the end of their washington dc trip. these compliments coming from you kind of make me want to scream from the top of my lungs, seriously. youâre an incredible actress i can only hope to have a career half as good as yours.Â
The gingerbread man would be amazing! Most of the characters from Shrek would be, honestly, and itâs been long enough since a film came out that it would be considered quirky, I think. I think that acting comes into your life when itâs supposed to, although I know what you mean. I started at 15 and plenty of my peers started when they were pre-teens, but at least I had a childhood? DC was intense, and a little too real. Donât scream! Or do, itâs your life, but youâre already well on your way to a phenomenal career, I can tell.
larsonhqs¡:
EMILY JEAN STONE â I love you, just thought Iâd remind you, you beautiful angel. @blackbirdemma
I love you more, most of all, more than anything. Iâve missed your stunning face, what have you even been doing?
disilvers¡:
this is a little bit embarrassing but my only theater expierence was playing fiona in shrek the musical when i was in middle school. thatâs pretty much my only acting history prior to my last couple movie roles, but if i still had the costume iâd pull a heidi klum and just dress up in that. god, itâs been like a fucking nightmare watching offred cracking but elisabeth is such a fucking amazing actress she makes it such a sick pleasure to watch. i havenât watched the latest but iâm sure that when i get cozy in bed later iâll probably do that, and give myself dystopian nightmares.Â
Thereâs nothing to be embarrassed about, there! Thatâs absolutely amazing, Shrek The Musical is one of my favorites and Fiona is a totally badass. You should totally pay homage to that one Hallowen season. I did a lot of youth theater as a kid and as a result got a lot of experience in the fitting room with all kinds of absurd costumery. I was and am obsessed with it. Elisabeth is truly an icon and so is Yvonne, Iâm a little bit in love with them both and their scenes together are so powerful. Oh, youâll have nightmares, I do every time I watch. ALSO, an afterthought, I never would have dreamt that Booksmart was one of your first acting roles so color me impressed.
disilvers¡:
iâve been better at getting prepared and doing things in advance this year. the costumes on amazon are shameful, but in all honesty most of the womenâs costumes from any places like that are trash. the best costumes are ones that you come up with on your own, but sometimes they flop too. iâve gone as a few things that were too eccentric and nobody knew who i was supposed to be. anyone wearing handmaidâs costumes this year are about to get a rant from me, especially after this season, which has been absolutely terrifying.Â
I think all of us have gone too eccentric or obscure in the Halloween costumes. Especially theater kids â I had way too many old Shakespearean outfits at my disposal and it, it just wasnât cool. In hindsight, that is, I always felt pretty cool wearing them. This season has been insane. Actually insane. Almost more difficult to watch than the ones that came before it which is... saying a lot. I have friends that just canât bear to and I donât blame them.
teylcrswift¡:
Stupid movies are sometimes a relief from having to think logically for an hour and a half. I think Iâm gonna go see it tomorrow or the day after, so my review will be coming back to you asap. No one would ever shake again and thatâs a world I donât want to live in. No shake? Then we have nothing. Yeah I mean if you pretended no one would believe you anyway. The original Queens.
NO SHAKE AND WE HAVE NOTHING should be your campaign motto when you run for president. Just putting that out there. I would vote for you. I would vote for you so hard.
disilvers¡:
see thatâs how itâs been for me for as long as i could remember, itâs always been like pick whatever and then get it ready as quickly as possible. this year i just want to be prepared and like yâknow if thereâs like a costume competition i want my costume to be cool enough that i win. the handmaidâs costumes arenât it, saw a couple of those on my search and i was just shaking my head.
I like your style, preparation really is key and Halloween would have fewer double ups if more people put thought into their costumes. Iâve spent a few hours on Amazon since our conversation looking and, man, why is every womanâs costume the âsexyâ or âsassyâ version of the menâs? Oh wait, I know why. Right? Just kinda uncomfortable. I donât think the people who do it have seen the show. Or read the book. Or just reallllly missed the point.
