I’d suggest that in many ways “whiteness” as a concept doesn’t work in an international sense. Much of what we call white has developed under a very particular framework of US imperialism and immigration policy, fueled by white supremacist, capitalist heteropatriarchy

Listen to European poc, we are literally telling you how racialised our existence as Brown and Black people are. Whiteness is not a purely American construct when racial colonialism and imperialism started in Europe. You don’t like to be called white because you’ve been in a raceless/invisible/default position your whole life whereas we’ve been dirty/uneducated/backwards/uncivilised and Other which is synonymous to Brown/Black. 

I’ve experienced racism from all flavours of mayo, East European, Irish, British, Portuguese etc. Just because you have a culture doesn’t mean you’re not white. 

It’s so obvious that most of you don’t care about racism done against us and just want to harass American poc and complain about how US-centric this website is. You certainly don’t want to hold yourself and your white peers accountable for the rampant racism in your (European) countries.
