I really wish the BLEACH anime wasn’t coming back all it’s gonna do is get us clowned by the rest of the anime community. And I really don’t have the energy to defend Aizen with my life again. The trauma, the shipping wars, the Ichiruki stans making it their business to harass anyone who even complimented Orihime, the disregard for complex characters like Tousen and Unohana. It’s entirely tew much.

Hello everyone, in the months of my absence, I had my heart ripped out my chest by someone I loved dearly, and battled heavily with suicide for the past couple of months. Yesterday, I almost went forth with committing suicide due to the heartbreak. But instead decided to tear through my house bleaching and organizing /e v e r y t h i n g/. And my soul has been cleansed. For my astro folks my Scorp Sun/ Leo Rising/ Aries Moon/ Virgo Venus :(

But let’s look at the good:

I found a stable job before the pandemic came through that pays all my bills and I get all the OT I want and bought me a pen display! (Huion Kamvas 20)

With the purchase of my pen display I will continue my Aizen redemption fic that’s been what? 2 years in the making? Lol, creativity takes time! Still working out kinks and characters but it’s coming!

Eh, any experts on zanpakuto?

I wanted to create zanpakuto for my third seat character where the shikai form takes on that of two “upgraded” forms of brass knuckles. However wouldn’t that count as a dual wield like Shunsui and Ukitake? And I know dual-wield is super rare and I don’t want my character on the path of becoming Mary-sueish. Is there a way around this? The character is super physical.

Jirobo had a shikai of a lot of shurinkens. Byakuya shikai is thousands of small flowers.

I believe that as long as the “sealed” zampakto is just one sword, it can’t count as a dual-wield.

Now that you bring up Moe I think I may just come up with a different zanpakuto altogether because it seems like the knuckle/iron fist thing is played out :(

The shikai is brass knuckles, while the bankai form was two heavy spiked Gauntlets with the name phrase meaning “Iron Fisted God”, “Fists of God”, or “God’s Might”.

Abilities are just physical based, so just causing earthquakes by punching the ground, “Thunderclaps”/ soundwaves caused by clapping the gauntlets together, etc.

So I don’t know if I should keep working at it and fully develop the character or just redesign. I don’t want to reveal too much but at the same time I don’t want to write a mediocre story.

I think the most important thing about creating a shikai/bankai is the personality of your character.

If he is a straightforward person that likes direct action, I believe the knuckles can still work. (Take Kensei or Ichigo as examples, their attacks are direct).

If he likes to deceive and playing games with people, his shikai can be about messing other people’s perceptions (Hirako and Aizen).

If he is a person with an explosive character, then you can always make the knuckles to put a mark in the target and go for an explosion (like Soifon).

Unless, his zampakto is inherited like Nanao, in that case he having a personality clashing with his shikai would make sense and be a cliffhanger.

I like that idea. Because the character is literally just a loud mouthed asshole. They have no other quality other than physical might as they know no hado or kido spells so I want their shikai and Bankai to be as straightforward as they are.

I want to write a cheesy AU fic where after a 100 or so years, Aizen is asked by Shunsui to rejoin the Gotei 13 after Tetsuzaemon dies and there seems to be no real replacement that can match the power a captain is supposed to possess.

Aizen is tired of living in solitude and reluctantly agrees to try it out as he had long abandoned his goals and wouldn’t mind living a “normal” life. Every captain is against this motion but none of them can physically do anything about it and Shunsui’s image is damaged by allowing Aizen to gain control of entire division.

Things don’t go smoothly for Aizen as he realizes it’s not fun to have his entire division so fearful of him that they won’t even interact with him. They whisper evil things about him in secret, and only (though reluctantly) speak to him when it concerns business.

After two weeks Shunsui checks in on Aizen to ask why he hasn’t started looking for a lieutenant and Aizen simply answers with a question of his own: “Why did you ask me to do this?”

Shunsui simply looks at him softly, encouraging Aizen to express how he feels.

“I….I don’t like this. I am…uncomfortable.” Aizen mutters.

“Well what did you expect, Sōsuke? Was everyone supposed to forget what you did?”

Aizen’s face hardens and Shunsui realizes he should be a bit more understanding of his situation since he was the one that put him there. (((Pronouns pronouns, oh how do you work??)))

“Humility, Aizen. I want you to experience humility.” Shunsui begins. “You need to be humbled. For the First time in a long time or maybe even EVER, you can’t rely on your charisma and charm to snake your way into people’s hearts. They all know who you are.”

Aizen stared at the floor for a long time before he finally decided to speak. “…..What do I show them, if they do not believe anything about me is genuine? What do I…’improve’ about myself?” Aizen grimaced, the nerve to say such a word!

Shunsui let out a light chuckle and said,

“Let’s start on developing a real personality.”

Meh, this story sounds like a good idea but I don’t know if it could be executed properly. Aizen tries to mend his relationship with Momo after his squad warms up to him, thought Shinji is still a major dickhead. His lieutenant will probably be some made up girl who becomes sort of a daughter to him. I gotta create a Shikai and Bankai for her though. And I’m thinking of creating a bankai for Aizen as well for him to showcase in later chapters.

Throughout the story Aizen has these regular “therapy” sessions with Shunsui, and tries his best let his true self come forward. But the problem is that Aizen doesn’t have a personality outside of the ones he’s made up because he’s so used to putting up a facade to get what he wants. Even him being cold callous and evil was kind of made up for him to strike fear into his enemies.

Him being in the 7th Division also plays a huge part in the story as their meaning is “Courage”. Or some cheesy shit like that.

I don’t know I may write a couple of test chapters and publish them to see how it goes.

Has anyone actually tried to think of Aizen’s bankai ability? His shikai ability is already so strong you can’t really come up with anything else. Kubo could have showcased Aizen’s bankai with the Juhabach fight but he didn’t? How do you step it up a notch from that? But it has to be something that isn’t super OP and you could go “wow why didn’t he use this before?” I want it to be powerful but I also want it to be super inconvenient like the shikai is. (In order to fall under hypnosis, you have to watch the ritual, and to break hypnosis you have to touch Kyōka.)

So I need a bit of help.

In my story, Aizen becomes captain of the 7th Squad (If I remember correctly) and he has no lieutenant. I figured that having a new original character be his 2nd in command was the best route to take.

My problem is the personality I want them to develop. So without giving spoilers, this character and Aizen have one huge thing in common: They both have no business being in the positions that they were given. Neither of them deserve their position though the Lieutenant’s secret will be revealed later on. It’s pretty wack but idk.

So this person has something to hide, yeah? I am split between two personalities I created for them.

Personality A

They are super anxious and nervous all the time. It’s so obvious they have something hide and their secretive nature makes their squad mates annoyed with them. Aizen is intrigued and eventually becomes slightly obsessed with finding out their secret. They are a bit cowardly in battle and saves face by having Aizen confront enemies while they help out with the rescue effort. Aizen can easily defeat any enemy of the Soul Society in battle so the Lieutenant gets away by helping out in minor ways with weak kido and hado spells.

They are super helpful, and book smart and enjoy a good laughs. They know how cook some nice food and likes to make people bento boxes. However, do not ask any questions about their personal lives or come to their personal quarters announced, they will get very touchy and upset about it. So super outgoing, just don’t get close. It’s confusing sometimes.

Their relationship with Aizen is rather awkward, with Aizen challenging himself by not trying to play mind games to reveal their secret. He decides he will let them reveal it when they are ready. Aizen likes how accepting they are and enjoys their silence together while he does paperwork or reads. The Lieutenant feels like they can reveal little things about themself to Aizen; the Ultimate Sinner and it’s genuinely comforting.

Personality B

Loud. Obnoxious. Fun. Outgoing. Aizen thinks they should have been in Zaraki’s squad. They are big and boisterous and never cowardly in battle. They have a lot to say and their squad mates find them funny in the way they treat Aizen. Aizen knows that it is all false bravado but gets very annoyed with the disrespect. Eventually he puts them in their place with a legendary speech in front of the rest of the Squad 7 that comes off as him asserting his dominance rather than asking for respect. It is during a certain event, that Aizen learns that the tough guy act is a facade.

They are very knowledgeable in kido and hado spells, and prefer to use those in battle but have a lot of physical strength. However, they are pretty stupid and lack very basic common sense. Their squad mates love them, and they become a bit of a translator for everyone to communicate with Aizen. They train and fight with their squad mates and occasionally makes a lot of visits to Squad 11.

Their relationship with Aizen is strained. Aizen feels conflicted because he knows as a captain he deserves respect but at the same time he doesn’t want to come off as abrasive or murderous to his underlings so he lets the Lieutenant gets away with murder. He doesn’t enjoy their company at all but finds that they are making an active effort to soften up the rest of Squad to Aizen’s presence. They throw parties, do events, etc. the Lieutenant forces Aizen’s to participate in these events to get him to show a softer side of himself.

So yeah, I don’t know which one to go with and I’m really confused. I also don’t know if I should make them a boy or a girl. :/ any suggestions

So a little update on things in my life.

I got a cool new job that allows me to save money, pay all my bills, and still comfort spend when I want. I do appreciate all the help and love I received last year from you guys it meant so much to me.

So now that I am at peace what happens now?

Well I’m gonna be focused on actually buying things for my house, and continuing my Aizen redemption fanfic and designing his two sidekicks. (If you don’t know I’ll reblog for a refresh.)

I also wanted to plan some raffles, giveaways, and contests in the future in celebration of the anime coming back but we gone see how it goes.
