do u ever wonder what ur most noticeable feature is like what do people see first when they look at u
contrary to social media developers’ beliefs i have literally never once wanted to see posts in anything other than chronological order
i think everyone needs to see this
“is ilya clingy?” lisa asks shane. they’re in the living room of cassie and bood’s house at one of the bood bbqs. shane went there to take a break from the guys ruckus and found lisa also taking a break. she called it the “introvert corner” and to complete the group troy also showed up. shane replies “he is” he chuckles “and he’ll be looking for me any minute now” and then they hear “Мой любимый, where are you? are you hiding? you’re not hiding from me right? if you’re hiding let’s hide together, don’t be alone when i can be with you, yes?” and shane calls out “i’m in the living room!” and ilya appears at the door going “oh, you’re not alone” and shane smiles at him reaching his hands out so he can pull ilya to his side, and ilya does and snuggles into his husband. then ilya asks “why are you guys here?” and lisa replies “it’s the introvert corner!” and then wyatt also shows up asking “baby, why did you came here by yourself? let’s take a break together” and he sits by her side. then troy goes “oh my god this is a team full of clingy men” and ilya asks “where’s yours so you can also be clingy?” and troy replies “i’m not clingy” and ilya raises his eyebrows and troy goes “i’ll send him a text”.
i am full of love and also fatigue
Just remembered I had this screenshot on my phone somewhere and had to post it here because it really speaks to me

"We need trilllions to replace all workers" is quite the ask for an industry that has no profits.
I don't think I'll ever be able to unsee this!
"and your mother?"
"dead."
This scene ran me over then put it in reverse to finish the job - I had to paint it
dear everyone on tumblr who needs to host images elsewhere (e.g. to embed on ao3 etc), please give squidge a go!! it's free, it's nonprofit and it's geared towards fandom so nsfw images won't get deleted!! and please stop using imgur if you can because they blocked the uk rather than acquiesce to the fucking internet safety laws, which I can't really hold against em but it does mean all imgur pictures just show up as big purple boxes now
Squidge! Holy blast from the past, Batman. The last time I remember even looking at that site was... eons ago.
( Oh, what was I reading? The Quartz Key. Yes, it's m/m. )
Not only is Squidge still around, it's expanded and grown! It is still run by the same guy, though now it's a nonprofit with a board and everything, and while they maintain all the old squidge sites as static archives, they have a new multifandom archive using the AO3 code at squidgeworld.org. They also host podfics and fanart.
For those younguns in the crowd, back in the day erotic fanworks--especially slash--was not welcome very many places. Walter was willing to host it, and has been a haven for NSFW fanworks since 1994. The various archives and so on hosted at squidge.org were never very large, compared to lots of other archives, but they were a necessary part of the fannish ecosystem, and I'm really glad that there is now a structure in place to keep the whole system running beyond just "Walter's a great guy willing to donate lots of time and money." Walter is a great guy! but like. it's good to have other people to help out and keep things going in the long run.
The worst-sounding piece of advice I've ever been given that does actually work is to frame your health concerns as coming from someone close to you, whom you do not believe. Tell your doctor that you've been having pain and your mom/friend/partner thinks it might be an ovarian cyst, but you don't think so because the pain is much more intense and it has to be something else. This gives your doctor an unseen third party to fight instead of you. They can't just tell this third party, who isn't present, that you pulled a muscle, they now need to prove to this third party that it is not an ovarian cyst.
At which point they will find an ovarian cyst, but they now get whatever fucked up satisfaction they derive out of proving you wrong, because you didn't believe it could a cyst at all, but guess what? They did find a cyst! It's such a good thing you didn't listen to your intuition and came to them to verify your lay diagnosis from that third party! Bonus? Doctor doesn't have to feel like they look stupid in front of a patient, which is really what all this is about. Not your health, why would you think your medical diagnosis is about your health? It's obviously about a doctor's potential ego.
And apparently this works. Apparently you just need to be able to always play 4D chess with your medical professionals in order to find an avenue of advocating for yourself and getting you medical needs met. Isn't that great?
I hate it here, actually.
If you have multiple specialists or move around a lot, you can also say 'one of my doctors mentioned X to me but I can't remember who and I never had it investigated'. Doctors love to one-up each other. Worst case you get dismissed and don't have to lie next time you pull this on a different doctor and best case they do investigate.
