I'm looking for the real version of this comic! I had the original twitter post linked as inspiration for one of my fics, but when I checked it recently it was dead :(

I found these in the google image search, as well as the summary of the page (2 images below) and I'd love it if anyone could, like, work some internet magic and find the originals lol. Or just PM the artist to see if they're ever going to reupload these. The alt. account was Lunohwow, but I think their main is 7un0w or something??

Okay, well now I have a new comic I want to find! XD There is a youtube dub of this comic though, so at least there's that... (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BzRtn4j3gSs)

But!! I was able to find a Russian comic dub youtube video that featured the "mlep" comic (translated, but it's only one line so that's whatever) and I did a bit of screenshot slicing to just... make a new copy of this comic XD So at least it's in high quality again! (780p, which is good enough for me but someone else can fight for 1080p if they want)

Sorry Hazbin Hotel, I got sucked into the Epic the Musical fandom and now it's all I can think about XD (I'll return eventually I swear!)

Had a few fic ideas but the one I'm really working on is a "nicer Calypso" AU because I deeply irrationally hate Ody's line in "Not Sorry for Loving You" and I needed to fix it. So I rewrote the entirety of his stay on Ogygia lmao

It's currently about 8k words and it's not even remotely finished, this thing is gonna be a monster of a first-fic-in-the-fandom lol

Anyway. I wanted to share the scene I'd already posted on twitter over here too, please enjoy :3

She finds him on the beach. He sits with his knees hugged to his chest, his gaze unwavering on the distant horizon. There's nothing but water as far as she can see, but maybe he's imagining the world beyond her coast. She wonders what sights he might have seen in all his years before he washed up here.

She sits next to him, leaving an entire person's width of space between them. She doesn't speak, and he doesn't greet her. If he hadn't tensed the moment she got close, she might believe that he just hasn't noticed her. But of course he has. He's always aware of her presence. (This doesn't make her feel good anymore, like it did during his first few days here. He can't let his guard down around her, because he sees her as a threat. He thinks she'll hurt him.

She would never.

She doesn't know how much time passes. Discomfort doesn't exist here, so sitting for hours doesn't ache. She found him early in the day, so the sun remains. But it's moved, titling further towards the cliffs, threatening to dip behind them and bathe her isle in shadow once more. Soon lightning bugs will surface to light their way, but for now there is only the deepening color of the setting sun.

She used to sit like this herself, first waiting for the gods to visit, then just appreciating the view once she understood that they never would. It's peaceful, tranquil—but like every space Odysseus occupies these days, there is an air of melancholy that she doesn't think will ever clear. It makes her sad, in a way that this paradise hasn't made her feel in many years.

"My wife and son are past these shores," he tells her, quietly enough that she almost misses it. She turns to look at him, and his gaze is still distant, still so yearning. It hurts to see the depth of those eyes, the ever present sorrow and desperation. He would be so handsome if only he could shed this cloak of grief. 

"We were so close," he whispers, mourning. He ducks his head, resting his chin on his arms. "Always so close, every time…"

The bag of wind, Scylla's strait, this very island. Home is so close, he can feel it in his very soul. So close, and yet always just out of reach.

He buries his face between his knees, heat in his throat, stinging his eyes. "I just want to go home."

As far as overlords went, Alastor was pretty chill. As long as you weren't an abuser, rapist, or pedophile in life or death, he largely left you alone. Picked on you, if he wanted; some people were much more entertaining to him alive, left to struggle and fail.

So when Husk confronts him in the hall, he does so thinking he's safe. He's a gambling alcoholic, but he never crossed any of the lines Alastor took issue with.

He didn't know this was one of those lines.

Husk doesn't know what to do, after, and he's… afraid. He would never have said they were friends, back when they were both overlords, and they definitely aren't now, but in all the years they'd known each other, he'd never been scared of Alastor. 

He'd been talking about Mimzy, about how Alastor always seemed to be at her beck and call, cleaning up her messes when he really didn't have to. But that reaction—there was something much bigger going on. He shouldn't even be thinking about this, because if Alastor thinks he's found something out about his "leash" (and what else could that possibly be except a soul deal of his own—?) then he really will tear Husk to shreds.

He'd never thought that might happen to him. But Husk has bruises under his fur around his neck now, and the ache is a persistent reminder that he should never have let himself get complacent.

Alastor has never been his friend. But he thought he wasn't a danger, either.

(Al was never a friend. But sorrow wells up in his throat regardless.)

How far away from the origin do you have to get to lose track of the purpose? 

Nana is a hero, seventh in the line. She gained this power from the Sixth, who gained it from the Fifth, who gained it from the Fourth—a man who lived so much of his life in isolation. Fifth was Limelight, but Sixth was Underground, and they're all heroes—but they couldn't have started like this.

What is One for All's purpose? How far has it deviated in the present day?

The Dawn of Quirks was chaos. Meta abilities surfaced with unprecedented speed, half of an entire generation mutating in strange and terrifying ways. It was all so new, entirely unlike the present day. There were no heroes, there were no villains—not in the way there are now, legal classifications and laws and professions. Just normal people dealing with superpowers and how they could use them to navigate loopholes. 

History is written by the victors.

Who came out on top after the chaos died away? Does anyone know?

So I'm definitely not caught up with the Blue Exorcist manga, but I'm looking through AO3 and I keep seeing something about Rin's 'demon half'. Who is a separate being who can take over his body at random times.

Hmm. Seems familiar. (Looks over at Bleach with Ichigo and Hollow-Ichigo's body snatching attempts)

So what you're saying is that Rin has to accept that this demon half is just another part of himself. The Demon Is Me. I getcha.

Episode 2 of Bleach TYBW, and we get the new opening! And it's chock full of spoilers!!

First one of notice: there's Uryuu standing opposite Haschwalth at the front of the Sternritter group! (easy to miss him; Jaymes Hanson had to point him out before I saw him)

Second: that forest of Zanpakutou, and Ichigo reaching out to his masked lookalike. So that's him finally getting an asauchi and his true Zanpakutou!

And third, which is related to the second point: the Shinigami walking at the end of the opening, with the two Zanpakutou blades. That's Ichigo!! With his true shikai!!

I am screaming forever, I'm so excited for this season!! They've got to include that in the show if they have it in the opening (unless they pull a FMAB and it's just foreshadowing, but I dearly hope not).

I did do a rough timeline of how many chapters they'll have to adapt to get to that point, and it's a bit of a tight squeeze, but doable. "The Blade Is Me" is chapter 541/542, which is a full 54 chapters away from where we are at the end of Ep2 (488). If they adapt 5 chapters every following episode, and have 13 episodes total, the last episode will end with "The Blade Is Me". Which matches the way the opening ends, so it'd be really cool!

Also really cool, and an AWESOME way to close off the season: chapter 543 opens with Ywach introducing Uryuu as the newest member of the Sternritter. I would SCREAM out loud if that was the cliffhanger they left us on before pausing for however long they're going to pause between cours.

But more importantly, "Everything But The Rain" is chapters 528 to 537, 10 chapters. So, Hopefully, they turn that into a 2-part backstory episode, probably episodes 11 and 12. If they include it at all, which they fucking better. Everyone will riot if they don't.

There are so many amazing events happening in this season, and I am SO EXCITED for all of it!! Bleach!!! AAAAAA!!
