For what’s worth, I think they might have been emotional about something and overreacted. Op did write another post regarding this topic so I think it’s best to check it out as well before going the block route or harassing them.

And before someone label me as you-know-what supporter, I don’t agree with any single word they said. I don’t support adult/minor ships in any way, shape, form, or sense. Please… don’t normalize this shit.

This aside, I just think that sometimes people get emotional and… well, y’know, shit happens, and the least that can be done is to give them a chance to explain themselves. Like I said, it’s better to check their new post.

I don’t know the full story though, so I apologize if I misunderstood something.

#let’s not spread hate now i’m not ‘spreading hate’ i’m making the community aware of someone who condones adult/minor relationships in fiction.

this new post they made doesn’t absolve them of shipping a 16 and a 26 year old. they still do it. “aging up” a minor to ship with an adult for an “AU” is STILL pedophilia. you’re making a child older specifically to put them in a romantic relationship with an adult.

regardless of whether or not they overreacted, op still has the same views they had before, and the post they made is a non-apology.

Fair enough. I just wanted to draw people’s attention to the new post, is all. And I apologize for accusing you of spreading hate. This was more of a plea from my side to this fandom in general and less about you or this topic as I’ve a habit of tagging my posts with this kind of wording a lot for no particular reasons.

And I agree that making such AUs for the sake of shipping minors with adults is not right regarding of whether they’re 16 or 18 or even 21, don’t get me wrong. But I do know for a fact that some fans may see the shipping potential between two characters but can’t bring themselves to ship them due to the age gap, and they’re not capable enough to make original characters to replace one of them, and this where said AUs and aged-up scenarios come from. I personally won’t call this you-know-what, but to each their own. Granted, I don’t think this is really the case with op and I wish they apologize. I also know for a fact that there are fans who make this kind of excuses for the sake of making it legal... which is both trigging and so wrong, so it’s not really a fair point either.
