NEW YORK SHOPPING STRIP COLLAB

Hey, here’s my New York City Shopping Strip collaboration with Bean’s Builds.

I would suggest using this as a functional retail lot with the Get To Work pack. Victoria Secret and Zumiez sign created by @bill-l-s4cc. The Yolk and New York The Original Pizza decal sign created by @sierrathesimmer​ + recolored posters and custom content for the Fashion Nova store. 

I used a blend of different reshade presets [Memories of An Old Past, Creamy Dreamy, Retro and Love Shade Vogue + Light Brigade.]  Enjoy and @ or tag me #sierrathesimmer if you use it.

Just a quick mini tutorial on how to remove the dynamic shadows in TS4. I am all for dynamic shadows, but in my opinion, they have been poorly executed in TS4 so I found a way to turn them off for myself. I have been asked recently how I do it by @zhutra and @zellybeanie which reminded me that I was planning on writing up a tutorial for it. 

Generally, dynamic shadows are not enabled in the low light settings, same with a lot of other effects that I wanted left on. This method allows you to just turn off SSAO without a hit to lighting quality like sun shadows. Do note, with every patch or repair game, this needs to be carried out again as the sgr file reverts back to its default state.

Edit: Please note turning off SSAO does turn of Depth of Field (DOF) too for some reason.

Created for an NYC build challenge by Cimthabestb247 on Twitch, this is inspired by Chinatown neighbourhood in Manhattan, and ready to be explored. At street level, there’s a restaurant, a tea café, and a convenience store that is currently closed. Around the corner, you’ll find apartment buildings, which includes one converted into a modern loft with beautiful views of the city.
