NSFW but the smut is mostly recalled rather than described as it happens.
You'd been a defense attorney long enough that the sting of losing a case was usually not too bad. But you didn't usually work in Manhattan and you'd not usually just lost to Assistant District Attorney Rafael Barba and been treated to that smug, self-satisfied grin, that little arrogant tilt of his jaw.
Damn him. He'd changed a lot since you'd worked alongside him all those years ago in Brooklyn. Grown more cocky. More handsome. An even more formidable lawyer. Since you'd ended the...whatever it was... that had been between you, at the same time you'd switched from prosecution to defense. You swilled the amber liquid in your glass and took another sip, thinking about him.
As the trial had gone on, you'd flirted with him. What were you trying to achieve? Throw him off his stride, perhaps? Rekindle something that had been a lot of fun? Maybe just to feel that you were still attractive in his eyes, even though you'd switched sides, and moved on. There was something about that green-eyed gaze that made you crave it, made you want him to see you, clearly. Maybe that was why you'd texted him, told him that you'd buy him a drink, whatever the verdict. For old times' sake. You'd been very clear that you wanted more than a drink.
But he'd won so completely in court that now you weren't sure. His closing had made your case sound ridiculous and the jury had taken less than an hour to decided in his favour. Would it be humiliating to see him, spend time with him, acknowledge not just his victory but that he was, undoubtedly, the better lawyer? Why would you risk further humiliation if it turned out he wasn't actually interested? So you'd left court without confirming any plans with him and retreated back to Brooklyn, back to your favourite place to drown your sorrows.
You heard the door to the bar open but thought nothing of it, until you felt a warm hand on your shoulder and a presence close to you, behind where you sat on a tall stool at the bar. towards the back of the softly lit room. You jumped, but the fingers squeezed and you caught the scent of his cologne just before you heard his voice,
"I thought I'd find you here," Rafael said. Hearing the vibrations of his voice so close to you made you shiver, and you wondered if he noticed.
You didn't turn your head, not trusting your expression. "How did you?"
"All those hours commiserating in here when we lost? Of course it's where you'd come."
"Have you come to gloat? Because I'm really not into that, Raf," you said, getting to your feet.
You felt him move closer, the position of his body preventing you moving very far, and too close for you to turn around. You could feel his body heat, as his hand rubbed over the top of your back and over your other shoulder. Your whole body was responding to his touch. "No gloating, I promise." You looked at him sideways and he gave you a little grin. "If I don't gloat about just how soundly I destroyed your case, does what you said in your text still stand?"
You remembered that you'd heavily implied exactly what you wanted to do with him, and felt a throb of heat between your thighs. You glanced around to see if anyone in the bar was watching. No one was paying you any attention. You looked back down at your drink and ran a finger around the rim of the glass. "You want to fuck me for real to celebrating fucking me in court, counsellor?"
"Celebrate? No. But I do want to fuck you," he said quietly, a sensual whisper close to you ear. "Is that what you want?"
You could tell he was just waiting for your clear consent, that he was still holding himself back.
"You better use that mouth as well as you did in your closing," you said.
"You know I do." His words made you remember the sensation of his tongue delving into your folds, his hands on your thighs, pulling you into him. He wasn't lying.
"My place is closest. You can remind me..." You drank down the last of your drink, as you did so, Rafael moved so that his body actually pressed against yours, his arms surrounding you, his hands on the bar in front of you. His lips found the curve where your neck met your shoulder, a gentle kiss, the tickle of his breath. One of his hands moved to your hip and pulled you back against him. You felt the pressure of his erection pushing against your ass.
"You're very eager, counsellor," you purred, moving your hips just enough to increase the pressure against him.
"Our bodies fit so well together," he murmured against your skin. "I've missed it. I need to get you naked, now." The hand he had on your hip caressed up and down, subtly. You drew a deep shaky breath as you felt the heavy arousal pooling, and your underwear growing damp. You pushed back harder against him and heard the sound of arousal deep in his throat.
"Then let's go, counsellor," you said. He stood back and let you turn, meeting his sparkling eyes properly, seeing the dark edge of intent you so loved. "Let's see how quickly that tongue of yours can make me come."
He smirked, and the way he looked at you brought the heat to your cheeks. "Or how long I can draw it out for..." he said in a low tone.
Memories of of your wrists and ankles tied, spread out for his exquisite torture, flooded through your head. The way he was looking at you, it was as though he saw it all too. You bit your lip, and noticed that the bar tender was heading your way. "I can be very persuasive," you protested.
"I'm sure you can, counsellor," he said, taking your hand in his as you headed for the exit. "I heard it in your arguments. But you know I always win."
Hey jsyk it’s 2018 and if you’re still drawing characters with big lips like THIS, even if they’re pale/not black, it’s fucking racist. Stop doing it.
No excuses. “It’s a stylistic choice!” It’s a RACIST stylistic choice.
“Idk how else to draw big lips!” That’s because you relied on racist caricatures and are a bad artist. Teach yourself. Learn. If you’re not willing to do that, then you are a bad, racist artist.
“But it’s part of the character design!” Yeah, and it’s racist. If it’s your OC, then change it. If it’s not your OC, make the right choice and draw them with normal looking bigger lips instead of this racist monstrosity.
And if this post makes you uncomfortable because it’s calling you out for stuff you’ve done, good. Fix it. Own up to it. Grow.
If you see this and you’re first thought is to defend this: you are racist. You are part of the problem. Congrats. Now work on yourself and unlearn that.
(some troll gave me shit about only providing overly “feminine” examples. I would have been happy to ignore them…but there are so many great examples on how to draw perfectly acceptable (not racist) full-lipped male characters, in the end, I couldn’t resist.)
