Haunter looked at the woman and made another face. âHaunt haunt ha ha ha haunt.â He floated around her examining her. He had no ideas what secrets she was talking about nor did he really care. She was an odd feeling thing. He wasnt sure what it was about her but she disnt quite feel right.
Violet noted the motion and she bolted from the trees to shield jasper from the attack. It wasnt like it would have actually harmed him but she wasnt thinking rationally about that at this point. She only wanted to keep her brother safe. The slash hits her instead and shes tossed a few feet away.
She wince and wrapped her arms around the haunter. âTouch him and ill fight you myself! No one touches my bro! We arent here to steal anything, we heard you singing and didnt want to disturb you but wanted to hear you sing some more so we stayed back to give you peace.
Everything happened so quickly. There was no way for her to try and comprehend it until after it was already over. She whirled on her heel and there was a human girl, battered as she tumbled across the ground. Slashes across her back from where Crocusâ warning strikes had connected. The game had gotten out of hand, this Pokemon that was so truly dedicated to protecting her had overstepped himself and actually hurt someone - because her games had tricked him into taking his role seriously.
She faltered and wobbled, going cold as blood drained from her face and her stoic facade nearly broke. Go away. Please. This problem needs to go away. Right now. It never happened! She begged inwardly. Maybe today would be the day sheâd gain the power to rewrite reality. ...It didnât seem like it, while this stranger rushed to try and protect her Pokemon even while already hurt. âDonât move!â She shouted suddenly, abrasively, her tone surprising even herself. Fingers rummaging through her satchel, Marley retrieved a roll of bandages and some disinfectant. âGet out of your shirt. Iâll treat your wound.â An icy stare hit her âbodyguardâ and Crocus dropped his head in shame, posture falling so he was kneeling on the ground, making himself look as unimposing as possible.
