Hi there! Very sorry for the late responce, I haven't been using Tumblr as much!

For the question, I used to use a manga site, I forget the name because it got taken down. But I read the manga on the internet archive now. I think that one is fairly safe, especially if you're trying to avoid seeing unsavory things. I also reccomend keeping an eye out for listings of the manga, sometimes volumes can sell for cheap if it's an option for you! (I'm still a long way away from collecting all of the BlackJack manga, but the physical copies are the best way to read it incase sites ever go down. But it's not always an option for everyone to collect physical copies.) It's wonderful to hear that you've gotten into Black Jack though, you have so much you can still experience for the first time reading the series! /positive)

A few months ago I was looking up Tezuka stuff in the library and this older lady I didn't know was interested, so I told her about the characters and pulled up a picture of Black Jack

I'm like "a lot of people like this character"

And she's like "I can see why he's very mysterious and dark"

And I'm just laughing thinking to myself but he's not he's weird and silly

Maybe he's mysteriously silly! It's wonderful to hear she was interested though! It's nice to imagine an older lady becoming a Tezuka fan... even if it was just curiosity in what you were up to cx
