your bridges are burning and the tables are turning || Queenie and Blake
Queenie started to laugh with him and shrugged. “Yeah sort of, I’ve been around for years. I just avoided humans for a long time, and then I ended up on that ship and its like all I have now. Everything else went away.” She confessed, almost ready to blurt out her real self. She’d already dropped a couple hints already in her wording, though it had all been subconscious. “Oh I don’t know, it might be the best house I ever see because it’ll be the first house I ever see! I’m really happy to be seeing it.” She looked back at him as he came around back to her and carried on walking, swinging her arms because the topic was edging on something she wasn’t sure she liked. “How come you stayed so long?” She asked, looking sideways at him. “He’s nice to me, always has been. He took me in and I’ve been there ever since. My first everything, meal, proper bed, friend.”
Blake cocked a brow and gave the girl a once over, curious at her choice of word. “Humans, eh? Not human yourself, then?” The boy asked, pretty quick to pick up on things. Though perhaps not when it came to his father. He should’ve known that the captain had something bad for him in mind when he asked Blake to meet him in the woods alone, at night. “I stayed so long because he was my father. That didn’t seem to matter much to him though.” Blake commented through gritted teeth. He raised his brows when Queenie said that he was her first everything, and couldn’t help pitying her a bit. There were thousands, hell, there were millions of people out there that were better for her than James Hook.
