The quill scratched it’s way across the parchment. A pause was given as he looked over the letter, before folding it carefully into the envelope, and sealing it. Soon it would be on his way, and he would need to be on to the next one. Swallowing hard, he continued, forcing himself through.

He quietly read the letter at his new and enchanted to not break from his rage desk.  “Hmmmm.”  He mumbled, “Well they are trading partners, but…I’m not sure if they have been compromised…yet I have little choice now do I.”

He sighed as he considered the possibilities, “If this proves truthful then they will have my trust.”  He looked up at Deme the younger.  “I will take the Siren personally to get our Kaldorei kin here.  Or rescue them.  Let us hope its the former.”  He took his enchanted quill to parchment and quickly wrote back,

I will sail for your Bay shortly to bring my kin home and talk briefly about trade.  As such I will be coming in good faith aboard the Red Siren personally.   Be well and know that I come in good faith that you are remaining neutral in the war ahead.”

Raven’s Quest

Seeking a new sword because your last one was not up to par? Going out on an adventure up north and need sensible armor to stay warm? Want to buy you loved one a new tailored made dress that is functional in battle, or an enchanted set of necklaces. Look no further than the Raven’s Quest Adventurer’s Mart.

Some examples of the blades we make.  Each blade is made from elementium and true silver folded together and forged in dragonfire with ancient elven techniques and forged by our various blacksmiths such as Demetrius Starshadow, Demetryus Dawnshadow, and Ajex Dragonheart.  Each Blade can be enchanted and runed with:

Vampiric: Restores the users health when their weapon draws blood.

Firebrand: Adds an igniting flame on command to the blade.

Icebrand: Adds a cold touch of winter to the blade.  Can dispell fire magics.

Shadowbrand: adds a void touch to the blade.

Dispell: When struck a enemies spells are dispelled.

Lighten: Reduces the weight of a weapon.

Return: The Blade will return to the owner’s hand.

Each enchant and rune adds an extra 3 gold to the final price.  Only three enchantments and runes per blade can be added.

Each of our swords and daggers are unique as no two patterns on the blades are the same.  Depending on the blade prices will vary.  Here are some examples of our stock. (OOC Note: Conversion we use is 1 copper= 1 U.S Penny, 1 Silver=1 U.S Dollar, and 1 Gold= 100 U>S Dollars.) Katana: Our Katanas are properly balanced and unlike others sturdy and not liable to break when striking wrong.  They are keenly sharped.  5.5 gold.

Hand and a Half Sword (Bastard Sword): Need something more hefty?  But also want something that us can use with a shield as well.  Why not buy one of our Bastard Swords.  5.5 Gold

Cutlass: The perfect blade for the high seas.  Short enough not to get caught up in the railings of a ship’s sail, but long enough to provide plenty of reach.  5 gold.

Falchion: Sturdy and strong, the falchion is the perfect blade for those strong strikes while also adding in a bit of a swiftness and maneuverability.  5.5 gold.

Saber: Perfect for those quick angled cuts, the saber has served many battlefield officers and adventurers well.  Our more lengthier ones will also make fine swords when on horseback and you are without your lance.  4.5 gold to 5 gold depending on length.

Dagger: Our Elven daggers are things of beauty.  Slightly curved points.  Perfect for that quick slice or stab.  2 gold.

Dirk: Ah the dirk.  A perfect thrusting dagger when you find yourself without your blade or spear or in close quarters combat. 2 gold.

Dubh: Don’t let this tiny knife full ya lads.  Though it may seem more fitted for a lass, one can always have something small and well hidden such as a dubh on hand. 1.5 gold.

Seax: A more sturdy dagger.  This one is the dagger equivalent of a bastard sword in my honest opinion.  Sturdy, but light.  Perfect for those close quarter fights, or for your daily work and grind. 2.5 gold.

Warglaive: A vicious and dangerous weapon to both the enemy and one’s own self if you are not trained and careful.  Our warglaives are keenly sharpend and perfectly balanced.  10 Gold

If one of our blades breaks be sure to bring it back and we will reforge it for half the cost.  Due to how our unique forging process works, the blade will come out stronger and sturdier than before.

Armor and Jewelry Enchantments:

Elemental Resistance: Protects the wearer from the elements and elemental damage.  Comes in general form, or specific.

Invisibility: When activated, turns the wearer temporarily invisible.

Noise Canceling: With a tap renders the user’s foot steps silent even on broken glass.

Mental Protection: Provides the wearer with a defense against mental intrusions.

Speed: Increases the users movement speed.

Regeneration: The Armor and clothing will repair itself over time from the largest piece.

Magical Reinforcement: The piece is enchanted to provide the little bit extra protection verses cuts, blunt force, piercing attacks, and of course other magical attacks.

On Nightborne: Culinary Creations & Arcwine

In addition to Arcwine, the Nightborne enjoy a variety of local magical cuisine, some of which may or may not be conjured [Item: Mana Biscuit]. Although they certainly eat many different foods, some of their more popular delicacies include fruit, selective poultry such as eggs, and sweets. Suramar is also not without its own seafood. Even though the shield appears to have cut off access to the greater sea, the Nightborne prepare their signature Arcway Bisque with local seafood [Item: Arcway Bisque]. Some other signature Nightborne dishes also feature fish prominently.

Some dishes, like the Nightborne Delicacy Platter, Suramar Surf and Turf, and Leybeque Ribs speak to the elves’ preferences and culinary expertise. For example, for the delicacy platter, Nightborne chefs use one barracuda mrglgagh, twenty gem chips, five wildfowl eggs, ten stonedark snails, and one starlight rose for garnish [Profession: Cooking: Nightborne Delicacy Platter]. The barracuda mrglgagh required for the delicacy platter is prepared using five black barracuda, five vials of leyblood, four sticks of muskenbutter, and a river onion [Profession: Cooking: Barracuda Mrglgagh].

Alongside Arcwine, the Nightborne also produce other alcoholic beverages like Warm Nightpear Cider, Distilled Nightwine, Arcfruit Sangree, and several non-alcoholic beverages such as Mananelle’s Sparkling Cider and Arcberry Juice for kids not yet of age to drink [NPC: Nightborne Child Dialogue]. They even magically purify their water [World Quest: Running on Empty]. 

The Nightborne’s main sustenance and enjoyment, however, is derived from Arcwine. After living off it for approximately ten thousand years, the Nightborne have become expert winemakers, always seeking to improve upon and diversify the tastes of their local wine. Some recent creations include the honeyed infusion, supple nectar, and unctuous drought. The first wine is a three-year infusion that incorporates berry elements with a scintillating melon bouquet while the second, the supple nectar, is a fine vintage made of seventh generation manafruit, slippery nightsap flavors, and a delicate walnut finish. The last one, the unctuous drought, is a heavy blend of barely-ripe shadowberry and manafruit, triple infused with Nightwell essence. Because it is so strongly infused with the power of the Nightwell, it is best appreciated in sips [Quest: The Fruit of Our Efforts]. The Arcwine the player creates as part of their vineyard tour is made with silver jasmine, shadefruit, and purified water [Quest: The Old Fashioned Way].

The processes of Arcwine production are intimately intertwined with magic. The making of the unfortified wine, however, is rather old fashioned compared to the complex magical processes the Nightborne employ in wine-making. To make the juice that will later be fermented and infused with the Nightwell’s essence, the vintners add a collection of ingredients to a large vat. When the occasion calls for it, they step into the vat and stomp on the fruit to crush it into a juice [Quest: The Old Fashioned Way]. After this, the wine is transported to the Aging Chamber where the Nightborne use their mastery over time magic to speed up fermentation [Quest: How It’s Made: Arcwine].

The most crucial part of the Arcwine process, instilling the wine with the Nightwell’s essence, occurs at an infusion station [Quest: How It’s Made: Arcwine]. There, the Nightborne use an energy vessel, the only safe way to manage the Nightwell’s raw essence, to collect dewdrops of Nightwell energy as they are expelled from nearby fonts that resemble ley line feeds. After that, the vintners pour the collected essence into a cask of prepared wine, infusing it [Quest: Intense Concentration]. The newly made wine is bottled right away and sealed with magic to prevent the Nightwell’s essence from fading. Because of that, a cask of Arcwine can easily be stored for hundreds of years without losing any of its magical potency. Finally, casks and barrels are delivered from the vineyard’s distribution facility to the rest of Suramar City [Quest: How It’s Made: Arcwine].

The vineyard’s orchards produce varieties of fruit for the wines, such as the extra sweet fruit used in the honeyed infusion [Quest: How It’s Made: Arcwine].

Why? Well…It’s been a couple of months in the making but we’re finally prepared to open the doors to OOC participants in the WrA Farmers’ Union Discord. The place is mostly in order and we’ll be looking to entice anyone who might be interested in farming, ranching, and the like!

How this had slipped past him for so long was amazing to him. Not in the good way, of course. Either way, there were needs to be met and orders to fill. No time like right then to reach out and touch The Tradelands again. He flicked the quill towards the parchment as he sat back to dictate while it danced that almost too neat letters with their slight rightward slant.

I just spent the last hour or so reorganizing and somewhat (hopefully) recreating it. Same discord, same purpose, just a little less confusing. 

This server is open to everyone.

Why did she do that?

Why the fuck would she think that was the best course of action? Was she mad? Delusional surely, if nothing else. She’d pulled upon the essence of everyone watching which consisted of Guardsmen, Intox proper, and their fucking civilians. They’d invited her to partake of their ways and to show kinship and somehow she’d lost that in the translation and everything he’d been looking forward to last week was askew and akimbo to what it was meant to be. The alliance between Vipers’ Cove and The Tradeands would have to remain in the shadow, changing hands with the various, distant connections with Black Sands Grotto.

There was, as per usual, little choice in the matter. They would all move on, for this too would pass. Just like the rest.

In the wake of Lissa’s massive failure to understand the situation, the week swirled around in his head like the water in a shaken fishbowl. The whispers came, flooding into the white-hot, numbing waters that had hold upon him. He could barely stand by the time he tore away from Marcus near his tent, stumbling at best to use whatever he could reach to brace his travel across the chambers far too large to be housed by the silks that encased it. That which did no good to steel him against being overcome by one swirling spell of nauseating dizziness after another. The feeling of hitting the floor on all fours and of vacating his guts across it was but a gentle caress in comparison to the overwhelming throb and screaming truths tearing at him from all directions. It was a cursed blessing, one he wasn’t about to count.

The week had begun on such an up note, he couldn’t have expected it to go off without a hitch near its end. He’d have been a fool to hope for such a thing, right? Well, fuck you all because he had been hoping, though yet again he hadn’t counted on it. That wasn’t in him. Nothing ever went according to plan. Take the fact that he’d just passed out on his own floor in a pool of bloody, blackened, vomit.

Definitely not in the plan.
