Honestly, I don’t care if I get in first place or not but its usually, or not normal to just stroll up to people and call them ‘losers’. It usually causes arguments and possibly broken bones.

{ "Brat"? Shadow's not sure what about his attitude was bratty. He'd earned his spot over Blaze's, so surely he had reason to talk about the fact he'd beaten her in a race. It only showed poor sportsmanship that she would take it so hard! He almost felt bad for her. }

You need not act like that. Maybe next time you'll have a better chance.

{ Shadow doesn't miss the nickname. His ears perk up; that's the first time anyone's used a nickname with him before. He'd never even heard it from his caretaker, but he'd heard about them. Probably a good thing, too, or else he would've assumed that she'd just gotten his name wrong.
