I'm afraid to walk in my home. I'm afraid to wake my husband who is snoring away, blissfully on the couch. I'm afraid to get a drink of water from the kitchen for fear that I'll wake him. It wasn't like this before. I wasn't afraid. It's almost 5 am and I have not slept. I think I'm too sad and too afraid to. I've been called horrible names tonight.ive been called a horrible person, an awful mother, a shitty wife. I've had things thrown toward me. Luckily his aim is good enough that he purposely didn't hit me, save for the spoon on my wrist that surprisingly hurts more than I thought it would. He spit in my face. My heart is broken. I have to find a new place to live. I can't afford to stay here by myself. I have a daughter (thankfully she wasn't here) I have to protect. He threatened me, my son. I thought we were happy. He didn't get his way and so I'm the punching bag. It will happen again. This isn't the first time. I thought we could fix it and for a few years, we did. But it happens again.
