BF!ERLING HAALAND WHO... (TAKING YOUR VIRGINITY)
got a little carried away haha , traditional beg for likes/reblogs/comments/extra thought in my inbox :)
bf!erling who... notices you getting quiet and squirmy whenever things get heated between you two, and instead of pushing, just kisses your temple and murmurs, "you can tell me anything, you know that?"
bf!erling who... when you finally blurt it out one night, goes completely still for a second, then breaks into the widest grin, pulling you into his chest and going, "yeah? you sure, baby? don't just say that because you think i want you to."
bf!erling who... has you straddle his lap while he works you open with his fingers, one hand on your hip to steady you because you're already trembling, his voice low and warm against your neck: "that's it, just relax for me. you're doing so well."
bf!erling who... gets you so worked up you're grinding down onto his hand, face scrunching up, whimpering into his shoulder. and he thinks you're the cutest thing he's ever seen, brushing his thumb over your creased brow, murmuring "don't make that face at me, sweetheart, i'm not hurting you, am i?"
bf!erling who... asks, so softly, "do you want me on top, baby? think that'd be easier for you," and when you nod, he rolls you under him, caging you in with those huge arms, making you feel impossibly small.
bf!erling who... has to use so much lube because he's genuinely too big for you, stroking himself slowly while he watches your face, checking in with that gentle tone of his: "still okay? nod for me, there you go."
bf!erling who... bottoms out and just holds there, letting you clench and flutter around him, brushing hair from your sweaty forehead, asking "how does that feel, hmm? talk to me," while you stutter and can barely form words.
bf!erling who... stops the second you whine about it being too much, pulls out without hesitation, kisses your forehead and says "you wanna stop?" and he genuinely means it, no disappointment on his face at all.
bf!erling who... when you tell him you want to keep going, eases back in so gently and carefully, watching your face the entire time for any sign of discomfort, and when you finally relax around him he breathes "there you go. see? not so bad, is it? my brave girl."
bf!erling who... holds your hand the entire time, fingers laced through yours, pressing your knuckles to the mattress, occasionally bringing them to his lips to kiss.
bf!erling who... presses his palm flat against your lower belly when you try to move too fast, gently pushing you back down into the mattress, saying "slow down, sweetheart. your body needs to adjust to me first."
bf!erling who... is almost painfully aware of the size difference, glancing down between your bodies with a dazed expression, your thighs barely wrapping around his waist, your hands barely reaching around his arms as you hold onto him.
bf!erling who... doesn't finish the first time because he's too focused on making sure you're okay, pulling out when you get overstimulated and whimpering, kissing your temple and going "that's enough for tonight, love, you did so well for me."
bf!erling who... carries you to the bath afterward like you weigh nothing, settling you between his legs in the warm water, washing your hair with his big hands, pressing kisses to your shoulders while you lean back against his chest, boneless and floaty.
bf!erling who... spoons you once you're back in bed and wraps the duvet around both of you, one big hand stroking up and down your spine while he murmurs "how do you feel? hurt anywhere?" and he doesn't let you fall asleep until you've had water and a snack and about a hundred kisses.
Summary: in which you meet the Sharks and their partners as Macklin’s WAG for the first time
Series Masterlist
Macklin has been talking about this barbecue for two weeks.
“You’re coming, right?” He asks for the third time this morning, watching you get ready in the bathroom mirror.
“Yes, Macklin. I already said yes.”
“I know, I just-” He leans against the doorframe. “I want them to see us. Together. As a couple.”
You turn to look at him, softening. “They already know we’re together.”
“Yeah, but they know you as the legal intern. I want them to know you as my girlfriend.”
“Your girlfriend who also happens to be the legal intern.”
“You know what I mean.”
You do. You cross to him, straightening his collar even though it’s just a t-shirt and doesn’t need straightening. “I’m excited to meet everyone properly. Stop worrying.”
“I’m not worrying.”
“You’re bouncing on your toes.”
He stills immediately. “I’m excited.”
“Mmhmm.” You kiss him quickly. “Now go check if the cake is cool enough to frost. I need to finish my makeup.”
“Yes, ma’am.”
You catch his wrist as he turns to go. “Good boy.”
The words are automatic now, casual, but they still make him light up like you’ve given him the best compliment in the world.
“I love you,” he says.
“I love you too. Now go. Cake. Check.”
He goes, and you finish getting ready with a smile on your face.
***
The cake is a lemon berry situation — layers of lemon cake with fresh berry compote and cream cheese frosting. You’d spent half of yesterday making it, with Macklin as your very enthusiastic sous chef (which mostly meant he ate half the berries and licked every spoon).
“This looks incredible,” he says now, watching you do the final touches on the frosting.
“It better. I’m trying to make a good impression.”
“They’re going to love you.”
“They’re going to love the cake.”
“That too.” He sneaks a finger through the frosting and you slap his hand away.
“Macklin!”
“What? Quality control.”
“You’ve been doing quality control for twenty-four hours. There’s going to be no cake left at this rate.”
He grins, unrepentant, and licks his finger. “So good.”
“Flattery will get you nowhere.”
“It’ll get me somewhere.” He wraps his arms around you from behind, chin on your shoulder. “Please?”
“Please what?”
“Can I have another taste?”
“No. This is for the team.”
“Just a little one?”
You sigh, but you’re smiling. “Fine. One more. But that’s it.”
He kisses your neck instead of going for the frosting, and you laugh.
“That wasn’t what I meant.”
“I know. But you taste better than the cake.”
“Such a smooth talker.”
“I try.” He finally takes another swipe of frosting. “Seriously though, this is amazing. They’re going to be so impressed.”
“I hope so.” You start covering the cake carefully. “I also brought wine.”
“Of course you did.”
“What? It’s polite.”
“You’re very polite.” He’s still holding you, swaying slightly. “And beautiful. And talented. And mine.”
“Possessive.”
“You like it.”
You do. You turn in his arms, kissing him properly. “Come on. We should go. They said to come around two.”
“It’s only one-thirty.”
“And you know how long it takes to find parking in their neighborhood.”
He does. You’re nothing if not punctual.
***
Tyler and Cat Toffoli live in a beautiful house in Los Gatos with a huge backyard that’s already full of people when you arrive. Kids are running around screaming, music is playing, and the smell of barbecue fills the air.
“Mack!” Tyler calls from the grill, waving. “You made it!”
“Wouldn’t miss it.” Macklin’s hand finds yours automatically as you walk over. “This is Y/N. My girlfriend.”
“We’ve met,” you say, smiling. “I’ve done some contract work for you.”
“Right, right.” Tyler grins. “But not as Mack’s girl. That’s new.”
“Very new,” Cat says, appearing with a tray of drinks. “It’s nice to see you in a non-legal capacity. That cake looks amazing, by the way.”
“Thank you. Where should I put it?”
“Kitchen counter is probably best. I’ll show you.”
You follow Cat inside, and Macklin watches you go with a dopey smile on his face.
“You’ve got it bad,” Tyler observes.
“Yeah.” Macklin doesn’t even try to deny it. “I really do.”
***
Inside, Cat is clearing space on the counter for your cake.
“This really is beautiful,” she says. “Did you make it yourself?”
“I did. Macklin helped. Well, he ate half the ingredients and kept me company.”
Cat laughs. “That sounds about right. Tyler does the same thing when I bake.” She pauses, studying you. “So. You and Mack.”
“Me and Mack.”
“How long has this been going on?”
“About five months now. Officially.”
“And unofficially?”
You smile. “He asked me out for about two months before I finally said yes.”
“I bet.” Cat leans against the counter. “He talks about you constantly, you know.”
“Does he?”
“All the time. Y/N this, Y/N that. He’s completely smitten.”
You feel yourself blushing. “The feeling is mutual.”
“Good. He deserves someone good.” Cat smiles. “Come on, let me introduce you to everyone properly as Macklin’s girlfriend.”
***
The backyard is full of Sharks players and their families. You recognize most of them from around the arena, but meeting them in this context is different.
Will is the first to spot you. “Y/N! You came!”
“Of course. Macklin’s been talking about this for weeks.”
“Has he?” Will grins at Macklin. “Nervous?”
“Shut up,” Macklin mutters, but he’s smiling.
“Don’t listen to him,” you say, patting Macklin’s chest. “He’s been very excited to introduce me to everyone properly.”
“Properly,” Ekky repeats, joining the group. “As opposed to improperly?”
“As opposed to just the legal intern who processes contracts,” you clarify.
“Right. Now you’re the legal intern who’s dating our star player.”
“I prefer girlfriend, but sure.”
Macklin’s arm wraps around your waist, pulling you close. “Girlfriend,” he confirms, and the pride in his voice is unmistakable.
The group talks for a while — about the season, about summer plans, about anything and everything. You fit in easily, making jokes, asking questions, and Macklin watches you with obvious adoration.
“You want a drink?” He asks during a lull.
“I can get it-”
“No, I’ll get it. What do you want?”
“Just sparkling water for now. Thanks, babe.”
“Of course.” He kisses your temple. “Be right back.”
As soon as he’s gone, Will turns to you with a grin.
“He’s so whipped.”
“He’s attentive,” you correct, but you’re smiling.
“He literally ran to get you water.”
“He walked at a brisk pace.”
Ekky laughs. “You’re good for him, you know. He’s been so happy lately.”
“Yeah?” That warms you. “He makes me happy too.”
“It shows.” Will nudges you. “You guys are cute. Disgustingly cute.”
“I’ll take that as a compliment.”
Macklin returns with your water and a beer for himself. “What did I miss?”
“Just telling Y/N how whipped you are,” Will says cheerfully.
“Not whipped. In love.”
You nearly choke on your water. He says it so casually, so matter-of-fact, in front of his teammates.
“Smooth,” Ekky says.
“What? It’s true.” Macklin looks at you. “Right?”
“Right,” you agree, because it is. “Very true.”
***
Over the next hour, you meet more of the team. Ryan and his wife, Alanna, who immediately wants to talk about the cake (“I need the recipe”). Goodrow and his family. Alex Wennberg, who gives Macklin a knowing look when he sees how you two interact.
“So you’re the one,” Wenny says.
“The one?”
“Who finally got Macklin to settle down. He used to talk about going out, partying. Now it’s all ‘I’m staying in with Y/N’ this and ‘Y/N and I are cooking dinner’ that.”
“Guilty,” you say.
“Don’t apologize. It’s good for him.” Wenny grins. “Even if he does leave team events early now to see you.”
“I do not-” Macklin starts, but you cut him off.
“Yes, you do. Remember last week? You left the team dinner early.”
“Because you said you missed me!”
“I did miss you. But you didn’t have to leave.”
“I wanted to.”
Wenny shakes his head, but he’s smiling. “See what I mean? Whipped.”
“Not whipped,” Macklin insists. “Devoted.”
“Same thing,” Wenny says, clapping him on the shoulder.
***
Lunch is served — burgers, hot dogs, grilled vegetables, every side dish imaginable. You and Macklin end up at a picnic table with Will, Ekky, and a few other younger guys and their girlfriends.
“So Y/N,” one of the girlfriends says. “What’s it like dating the baby of the team?”
“Hey,” Macklin protests.
“You’re nineteen,” Will points out. “You are literally the baby.”
“Y/N’s only twenty-three,” Macklin says.
“Which makes her the adult in the relationship,” Ekky adds.
You laugh. “I don’t know about that.”
“Please. You totally are.” Will leans forward. “Does he do everything you say?”
“Not everything-”
“Most things,” Macklin interjects. “Because she’s usually right.”
“Usually?” You raise an eyebrow.
“Always. You’re always right.”
“Good boy.”
The words slip out before you can stop them — automatic, natural. There’s a beat of silence, and then Will starts laughing.
“Oh my god.”
“What?” Macklin looks defensive.
“Did she just-”
“Yes,” you say calmly. “I did. Is that a problem?”
Will holds up his hands. “No problem at all. It’s just-”
“It’s cute,” the girlfriend cuts in. “You guys have a dynamic. It’s sweet.”
“It’s something,” Ekky mutters, but he’s grinning.
Macklin’s ears are red, but he doesn’t look upset. If anything, he looks pleased.
“She calls me that sometimes,” he says, like it’s the most normal thing in the world.
“Because you are,” you say, squeezing his hand under the table. “Very good.”
He lights up, and Will makes a gagging sound.
“You two are ridiculous.”
“You’re just jealous,” you say.
“Of what?”
“Of what we have.” You lean into Macklin, who immediately wraps his arm around you. “Perfect teamwork.”
“If by teamwork you mean Y/N’s in charge and Mack does whatever she says,” Ekky says.
“That’s not-” Macklin starts, then pauses. “Okay, maybe sometimes.”
“Most times,” you correct.
“Fine. Most times. But I like it that way.”
“We know,” Will says. “It’s very obvious.”
***
After lunch, you help Cat bring out desserts. Your cake is a hit — people keep coming back for seconds, complimenting the flavors, asking for the recipe.
“This is incredible,” Ryan says, on his third piece. “You should open a bakery.”
“I’ll stick to law,” you say. “But I appreciate the compliment.”
Macklin appears at your elbow. “Told you they’d love it.”
“You were right.”
“Can I get that in writing?”
You swat his arm playfully. “Don’t push your luck.”
“Yes, ma’am.”
Tyler, watching this exchange from the grill, shakes his head with a grin. “Mack, can I borrow you for a second?”
“Sure.” Macklin glances at you. “You okay here?”
“I’m fine. Go.”
He kisses your cheek before heading over to Tyler, and you’re immediately surrounded by the other girlfriends and wives.
“Okay, spill,” Alanna says. “How did you two get together?”
So you tell them the story — about Macklin asking you out repeatedly, about the hat trick bet, about finally saying yes.
“That’s so romantic,” Felicia Wennberg sighs.
“It’s something,” you agree.
“And the good boy thing?” Another girlfriend asks. “Is that, like, your thing?”
You consider how to answer. “It’s affectionate. He responds well to praise.”
“Clearly,” Alanna says. “I’ve never seen anyone so eager to please.”
“He’s very sweet.”
“He’s very gone for you,” Cat corrects. “The way he looks at you, it’s like you hung the moon.”
You glance over to where Macklin is standing with Tyler and some of the other guys. As if sensing your gaze, he looks up and smiles — that special smile that’s just for you.
“Yeah,” you say softly. “The feeling is mutual.”
***
Meanwhile, by the grill, Tyler is giving Macklin a knowing look.
“So. You and Y/N.”
“Me and Y/N.”
“She’s great.”
“She is.”
“And she’s got you completely wrapped around her finger.”
Macklin doesn’t even try to deny it. “Pretty much.”
“Does that bother you?”
“Why would it bother me?”
Tyler shrugs. “Some guys don’t like their girlfriend being in charge.”
“I’m not some guys.” Macklin takes a sip of his beer. “She makes me better. At everything. Why would I have a problem with that?”
“Fair point.” Tyler flips a burger. “The good boy thing is interesting.”
Macklin’s ears go red. “You heard that?”
“Everyone heard that. Will made sure of it.”
“It’s just … it’s what she calls me sometimes. It’s not weird.”
“I didn’t say it was weird. I said it was interesting.” Tyler grins. “Cute, even.”
“We’re not cute.”
“You’re extremely cute. Both of you. It’s actually kind of disgusting how in love you are.”
“I am in love with her,” Macklin says, because it’s true and he’s stopped trying to hide it.
“We can tell.” Tyler’s voice is gentler now. “It’s good, Mack. You found someone who gets you. Who challenges you. Who makes you happy. That’s rare.”
“I know. I’m-” Macklin watches you laugh at something Cat said. “I’m really lucky.”
“You both are.”
***
The afternoon wears on. Kids play in the yard, adults talk and laugh, and you and Macklin navigate the party together like you’ve been doing this for years instead of months.
At one point, he’s in the middle of a conversation about defensive zone coverage when you appear with a plate of food.
“You haven’t eaten in two hours,” you say.
“I’m fine-”
“Macklin. Eat.”
He takes the plate without argument. “Thank you.”
“You’re welcome.” You ruffle his hair affectionately. “Good boy.”
The guys he’s talking to exchange amused looks, but Macklin doesn’t care. He just smiles at you like you’ve given him the greatest gift.
Later, you’re deep in conversation with some of the wives about law school when Macklin brings you a sweater.
“It’s getting cold,” he says.
“I’m fine-”
“You’re getting goosebumps.” He drapes his sweater around your shoulders. “Better?”
“Much. Thank you, babe.”
He kisses the top of your head and wanders off, and the wives all look at you with varying degrees of amusement.
“That boy is gone for you,” one of them says.
“I know.”
“And you clearly adore him too.”
You do. You watch him rejoin his teammates, laughing at something Will said, and your chest feels warm.
“Yeah,” you admit. “I really do.”
***
As the sun starts to set, people begin to leave. You and Macklin help Tyler and Cat clean up, despite their protests.
“You don’t have to do this,” Cat says.
“We want to,” you insist. “You hosted this whole thing. Least we can do is help clean up.”
“She’s got a point,” Tyler says to Cat. “And I think Mack would do whatever she says anyway.”
“True,” Macklin agrees cheerfully.
“Whipped,” Tyler coughs into his hand.
“Devoted,” Macklin corrects, but he’s grinning.
With four of you working, cleanup goes quickly. Soon the backyard is clear, leftovers are put away, and you’re saying your goodbyes.
“Thank you so much for coming,” Cat says, hugging you. “It was so good to get to know you better.”
“Thank you for having us. This was wonderful.”
“We should do it again. Maybe dinner? Just the four of us?”
“I’d love that.”
Tyler claps Macklin on the shoulder. “Your girl is great, Mack.”
“I know.”
“And she’s good for you. Keep her around.”
“Planning on it.”
***
In the car on the way home, Macklin reaches for your hand.
“So? What did you think?”
“I think your teammates are great. Their families are lovely. And that barbecue was delicious.”
“But?”
“But what?”
“There’s a but. I can hear it.”
You smile. “No but. I had a really good time.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah.” You squeeze his hand. “They’re good people. And they clearly care about you.”
“They liked you.”
“You think?”
“I know. Will texted me like five times during the party saying how cool you are.”
“Will thinks I’m cool?”
“Everyone thinks you’re cool.” He glances at you. “Cat asked if we wanted to do dinner with them.”
“I know. I said yes.”
“Good.” He’s quiet for a moment. “Thank you for coming today.”
“Of course. Why wouldn’t I?”
“I don’t know. I just—I wanted them to see us together. See how good we are together.”
“We are good together.”
“The best.” He brings your hand to his lips, kissing your knuckles. “Even if everyone thinks you’re in charge.”
“I am in charge.”
He laughs. “Fair point.”
“Does it bother you? What they said?”
“About being whipped?”
“About our dynamic.”
He considers this. “No. Why would it? You are in charge. Most of the time. And I like it that way.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah. You make decisions when I’m too tired or overwhelmed. You take care of me. You push me to be better.” He shrugs. “Why would I have a problem with that?”
“Some guys would.”
“I’m not some guys.” It’s the second time today he’s said that. “I’m your guy. And your guy likes that you’re in charge.”
You’re quiet for a moment, processing this. “I love you.”
“I love you too.”
“No, I mean-” You struggle to find the words. “I love that you’re secure enough to let me take the lead. That you don’t feel like you have to be in control all the time. That you trust me.”
“Of course I trust you. You’re the smartest person I know.”
“Macklin-”
“You are. You’re smart and capable and you always know what to do. Why wouldn’t I trust you?”
“Because most nineteen-year-old guys-”
“I’m not most nineteen-year-old guys,” he says again. “I’m me. And I love you. And I love that we work the way we work.”
You blink back unexpected tears. “Pull over.”
“What? Why?”
“Just pull over.”
He does, finding a spot on the side of the road. As soon as the car is in park, you unbuckle your seatbelt and kiss him.
It’s not a gentle kiss. It’s fierce and desperate and full of everything you can’t say.
“What was that for?” He asks when you finally pull back.
“For being you. For being exactly who you are and not trying to be anything else.”
“I don’t know how to be anything else.”
“I know. That’s what I love about you.” You cup his face. “You’re genuine and honest and you don’t play games. You just … you’re just Macklin. And that’s perfect.”
“Not perfect-”
“Perfect for me,” you correct. “My good boy.”
He melts into you, and you hold him, right there on the side of the road.
“Can we go home now?” He asks after a while.
“Yeah. Let’s go home.”
***
At your apartment, you’re both exhausted from the long day. You change into comfortable clothes and collapse on the couch together.
“Today was good,” Macklin says, pulling you against his chest.
“It was.”
“They all loved you.”
“They loved the cake.”
“They loved you,” he insists. “Will said you’re extremely out of my league.”
“Will said that?”
“Multiple times.”
You smile, settling into him more comfortably. “Your friends are sweet.”
“They’re not usually. You must really be cool.”
“Or you talk about me so much they feel like they already know me.”
“Maybe both.” He kisses the top of your head. “Thank you for being so great today. I know meeting everyone as my girlfriend instead of just the legal intern was probably weird.”
“It wasn’t weird. It was nice. I liked seeing you with your team. Seeing how they interact with you.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah. You’re different with them than you are at the rink. More relaxed. More yourself.”
“I’m always myself with you.”
“I know. But with them too. It’s nice to see.”
You’re quiet for a while, just existing together. Then Macklin speaks.
“Do you think it’s weird?”
“What?”
“That I like it when you’re in charge. That I like when you tell me what to do.”
You shift to look at him. “No. Why would that be weird?”
“I don’t know. Tyler made that comment about being whipped-”
“Tyler was teasing. And even if he wasn’t, who cares?” You run your fingers through his hair. “What matters is that we’re happy. Are you happy?”
“So happy.”
“Then that’s all that matters.” You kiss him softly. “And for the record, I like our dynamic too. I like that you trust me enough to let me take the lead. That you’re secure enough in yourself to not need to be in control all the time.”
“Most guys would-”
“You’re not most guys,” you interrupt. “You’re Macklin. You’re special. You’re mine.”
“Yours,” he agrees.
“My good boy.”
He smiles, that special smile that’s just for you. “Always.”
Anyone ever notice that when Jack assists on a goal from a player taller than him the other player just squishes his face into their shoulder during the celly hug? No just me…ok I just think it’s adorable
Like Dougie just shoves his head into his shoulder lol
