You did not arrive here by accident.
The Blackveil Manuscript opens into a world of gothic horror and occult longing, shaped by Victorian and Edwardian shadow, Southern heat, and the old magic that clings to New Orleans brick and bone. These pages are steeped in candle smoke and low music, in confession and consequence, in the ache of beauty that knows its cost.
I am Mika Blackveil. What is kept here is written as secrets are shared after midnight, when the room is quiet and the truth feels closer than names. Desire, obsession, devotion, and ruin are not kept apart. They are allowed to touch, to breathe, to leave marks.
Some figures wear familiar faces, borrowed only to guide the imagination. Others remain unbound by likeness and exist entirely in shadow. All are shaped by atmosphere and instinct, by what the story demands rather than what is asked of it. This archive follows its own hungers.
If you wish to begin, the Verses offer glimpses of stories waiting to be born. The Characters section holds those already claimed by ink and memory. The Apocrypha of the Veil gathers lore, marginalia, and truths that reveal themselves slowly, if at all.
Read as you will. Take what calls to you. Leave the rest in the dark.
