A Test In Winds
“What the-?”
Ranshiin noticed that the world had shifted again, but now instead of flying in the sky with Kris on his back, he found himself standing with the boy beside him.
He looked ahead at his enemy, blinking in confusion.
“…A fellow Legendz?” He murmured, squinting at the strange, one-eyed bird and wondering why it chose to attack them.
He glanced down at Kris.
“…What’s going on here?”
“The one before us is an enemy. We don’t have to FIGHT if we can help it. Maybe with the right ACT the enemy might leave us alone. I don’t know why it attacked.”
Before, the ones who attacked Kris did so because the Card King forced them to. This enemy however, seemed angry because someone invaded the airspace. Kris would have to defend himself. Since it wanted to attack him before Ranshiin.
ACT: Check
Beedy Bird, has a wide view and doesn’t want to share the skies.
“We see what you did…this air belongs to us…”
It was Ranshiin’s turn, the options were there again like before.
Ranshiin sighed and studied his options. There was likely a way out of this without fighting...maybe explaining the situation could allow for a peaceful solution.
He chose ACT: talk.
"...I apologize for the invasion of your air space, Mr. Bird, but we were only passing through. If we may continue on our way, you shall never see us again."
There was nothing wrong with a little tact. Ranshiin was used to using his silver tongue to get out of such situations.
