Hello! Y’all can call me Blade! She/her are the ‘nouns. I’m 20 years old. I live in the Midwest, aka Tornado Alley. I’m also a pilot and creative writer. I like flying Cessnas specifically so I will always say Cessna in the Boeing vs Airbus conversation. I like cheese, escape rooms, animals, and internet garbage that makes me laugh like an idiot. I really like steam locomotives(and I happen to live by a heritage railway).

I’m getting degrees in my favorite things: Visual Arts, and Astrophysics. I also lift weights and ski. Even though all of that sounds smart, I consider myself very dumb most of the time. I’m also bilingual and speak both English and Spanish.

I made this back in April because we were doing character design in my least favorite class with my least favorite medium: digital art. Using Adobe Illustrator which is my arch nemesis, while also using vectors. It made me wanna throw both my iPad and laptop out the window.

I may do another rendition of this character who I ended up naming Noche. She’s a Victorian Railways R Class locomotive.

I started this zine back in the summer when i started making sfth zines but after the train ticket background (which i not only scribbled out the locations on to avoid doxxing myself but also removed any reference to return tickets) i wasn't sure what else i wanted to do. eventually i remembered i had some railway books which i used for the tracks and i used an encyclopedia page about different trains for the other part. i went for black and white partly because i didn't think the orange of the train tickets would be very fitting but also because the higher contrast of black and white vc colour or even grayscale felt creepier.
