SAW FNAF WEEK, FINAL DAY: AMANDAS GRIEF

The final prompt is for Henry and Amanda because their story is just as integral as Vanessa, Abby and Amanda. Because he died while she was in prison she never really got to say goodbye or anything. All she has is that bear and his shirts left. He only died like two weeks before she got out. She was supposed to fly out and visit him a few days after.

Now all she’ll be visiting is a casket, and after, a grave.

Mandy only ever got to call him dad twice

SAW FNAF WEEK DAY 7: REUNION

Mainly Amanda and her daughter with some Vanessa sprinkled in. Having the mental images of Amanda reuniting with her after prison actually made me tear up.

Abby is upset. She doesn’t know why her mommy’s in that big place, but she wants her out. She holds her bunny plush close to her chest, and the tears start rolling.

She didn’t even notice the door to the room opening, and someone crouching down next to her. “Why the tears, baby girl? C’mere.”

That voice. Abby looks up, and Amanda is staring right back at her. “MOMMY!!” She shouts, barreling right into Amanda as she was kneeling down to be at her eye level.

“Oof!” Amanda makes a noise as she nearly fell over from the impact. “I missed you too, sweetheart.” She sits there, her pride and joy for the past three years finally in her arms again.

“Wanna go home.” Abby says, clinging to her for dear life.

Amanda just nods, walking out and using her movements to get Abby to sleep. The poor girl looked exhausted, and all she could do was kiss her forehead.

She makes it to the car, strapping Abby in her car seat.

She hurries to the passenger door and climbs inside. Vanessa has this smile on her face, the ‘aw, look how soft you are’ look. “I’m guessing she lost her mind seeing you.”

“She ran right into my chest like a torpedo.” Amanda leans over, quickly capturing Vanessa’s lips in a small kiss. “I missed you both so fucking much.”

“We missed you too, but watch your mouth. There’s a baby in the car.”

“Abby’s out cold; besides, she’s my kid. She’s gonna end up cursing anyway so what’s the point?

“ I don’t want our toddler telling other three-year-olds to go fuck themselves.” Vanessa retorts, Amanda snickering.”I’ll be praising the hell out of her when we get the call from her teacher.”

Vanessa punches her girlfriend in the arm. “ She’s been in that childhood development center since she was a year old. I really don’t wanna aggravate Dr. Lillian.”

Amanda leans on her. “ I’m just fucking with you.”

“Are you?”

“Maybe.”

Stirring in the backseat. Sleepy, unintelligible early childhood babbles made their way into the car. “Well good afternoon, sweetheart. How was your nap?”

A tired grunt and a whine was the only response Vanessa received. Amanda quickly interjects. “Hey, Abbygator. How about you and mommy take a nap on the couch when we get inside, yeah? I’ll put on Sesame Street and grab big bird from your room. Sound good?”

Abby nods. “That’s my girl.” Amanda reaches back to squeeze her hand. Once back inside of their apartment, Amanda slipped in comfy clothes, while Vanessa helped Abby change into her pajamas. Vanessa hands Abby to Amanda, the little girl clinging instinctively. “Mommy, tired.”

“I know, I know.”

Amanda quickly grabs Abby’s stuffed rabbit from the dresser that Henry had made her. It’s modeled after a character he created called “Bonnie”, but Abby just called it “Bunny.” Amanda has to stop herself from crying. It’s only been a few weeks since she heard that Henry died and it still feels so surreal like she’s in a nightmare that hasn’t ended. She let out a sigh and grabbed the Big Bird stuffed animal off her bed.

She grabs a blanket and lays down on the couch when she enters the living room, Abby held close on her chest. She grabs a VHS tape and pops it in the TV and lowers the volume. Vanessa gives Abby a kiss to the forehead. “ I’m going out to buy stuff for dinner. I love you both more than you’ll ever know..”

“Same to you, Vanny.” The two women kiss before Vanessa leaves the house.

As annoying as Amanda found Sesame Street, not only was her daughter learning and happy, but she would rather endure hours of this with her daughter, than be locked in a cage away from her. She hums the theme quietly, making sure Abby got the sleep that she needed.

When Vanessa returns, it’s quiet. She looks over to the couch and there’s Amanda fast asleep with Abby on her chest, holding her tightly. Vanessa quickly grabs her camera and snaps a photo.

Her girls. The reasons she fights the way she does. They taught her what family truly means and she couldn’t be more grateful. Now that Amanda was home, they could start healing and finally exist in the way they wanted to: as a family.

Even if society didn’t see them that way because they were two women raising a baby. 1994 was harsh on all of them, but then there was moments like this where they could just…be.

Saw fnaf week Day 6: Summer Vacation

Abby drew quietly in the abandoned mannequin factory, laying on a mattress on the floor. She missed her bed. She missed the smell of pop tarts in the toaster.

She missed her mama, sitting on the end of her bed and reading her a story. She didn’t have any of that anymore. Her crayons scratched against the notebook paper, trying to drown out the dingy surroundings.

She thinks about that first family vacation they took when mama got out of prison. Abby remembers it clearly: being tackled by Amanda, the two rough housing much to Vanessa’s dismay.

But because of one man, it’s all gone. No more summer vacations. Everything revolves around John and whatever he does with those machines. Mom or mama have refused to explain what they do and it honestly racks her brain. She hopes one day she can get out of here and maybe they’ll have summer vacations again on that same beach with all the ice cream in the world.

All Abby wants is her mothers back.
