“Fine! I’ll sleep in your stupid bed!” Kurt snapped right back at Blaine. Kurt could feel his blood boiling, but he was grateful for it. He was getting far too comfortable around Blaine, with all the joking around. It was easy to almost let his guard down, but when Blaine snapped, Kurt remembered what their relationship was. He hated Blaine. Their alliance was just one of convenience. They weren’t ever going to be friends with each other, and Kurt knew he had to stop letting himself get too friendly with the vampire.
Kurt looked away from Blaine to try and calm down, but when he looked at the bed, he felt like his mind was going into overdrive. Kurt wasn’t thinking about it before - maybe he was trying not to think about it, or perhaps he genuinely didn’t make the connection until he was on the bed - but all Kurt could think about was the dreams he had lately.
Sometimes Kurt didn’t know the location, but this bed came into the dreams a lot. There had been times where there was a collar around his neck with a lead attached as Blaine fucked his mouth on this bed. Or there would be times where his wrists and ankles had been tied to the bed while Blaine fucked into him. The images were always different, but they were always sexual.
And Kurt always enjoyed it. Kurt never knew where the images came from or why he even had those thoughts. But now he was sitting on the bed where so many of these things happened? It was hard to keep the images out of his mind, and it was hard to keep his blood from running south.
Thankfully, as he pressed his legs together, Blaine was talking again so Kurt could keep himself distracted. “Really?” Kurt smirked at Blaine, “You didn’t seem to think it was a ‘vervain riddled nightmare’ when you nearly drained me,” He teased slightly as he leaned towards Blaine.
Almost immediately, Kurt pulled back as his brow furrowed in confusion. What the hell was going on with him? Why did he hate Blaine one moment then the next, he was practically flirting with the other?
When he heard Blaine laughing after explaining what an Original was, Kurt couldn’t help but frown at Blaine. Kurt understood why Blaine was confused - not many knew about the Originals - but it did hurt a little that Blaine didn’t take his question seriously. It wasn’t uncommon for Blaine to do, but the other times, Blaine’s answer didn’t matter much to Kurt. But this was one Kurt was genuinely curious about. There weren’t any ulterior motives behind asking, and Blaine just… laughed.
Kurt narrowed his eyes a little at Blaine as if to say 'don’t you dare laugh’, and thankfully, the vampire seemed to behave himself. His eyebrows raised when Blaine made a comment about not being old, but before Kurt could make a remark about that, the next thing out of Blaine’s mouth had Kurt’s eyes widen.
“Wait, you know them? You know more than one?” Kurt asked as he turned to face Blaine more. Kurt knew one of them and Kurt had met others who knew different Originals, but this was the first time that he’d actually met someone who knew more than one.
And it turned out, Blaine wasn’t the only one. His sire seemed to know them, too. A million questions ran through Kurt’s mind about who Blaine’s sire was. The Originals had many enemies - being the age they were it would be hard not to make a few adversaries - but for some reason, Blaine’s sire didn’t seem to just be a regular enemy… It was one sentence, and there was nothing else to go on, but Blaine’s sire sounded an awful lot like the one vampire Kurt wanted to slay even more than Blaine.
Before he could ask any questions to see if there was a connection, Kurt noticed the change in Blaine. The way that the vampire seemed to be shut off. His posture was straighter, and the little emotion that was in the vampire’s face was now gone. It was quite clear it was one of the subjects Blaine didn’t want to talk about.
So Kurt dropped the questions, and instead, reached forwards to gently squeeze Blaine’s hand as he gave the vampire a soft smile.
Kurt was confused when Blaine began talking again. He frowned a little as he thought about what Blaine was saying and looked at the other sceptically “If you want to be left alone, then why don’t you leave us alone? I get why you’re the way you are with other vampires, but you’ve attacked humans who haven’t done anything to you. Can you really blame hunters for coming after you when you do that?” Kurt tried to keep any kind of hostile tone out of his voice. As much as Kurt hated to admit it, Blaine had a point when it came to other vampires who bothered him.
But Blaine had been coming for the humans before the hunters were onto him. So why was Blaine doing things to humans that would just bring attention his way?
Keeping the hostility out of his voice didn’t last long when Blaine talked about the other vampires touching him. “Thanks for your concern, but I’m quite capable of looking after myself,” Kurt’s voice was dripping in sarcasm, although he couldn’t help but blush when Blaine said 'as though they were even worthy of that pleasure’. Kurt didn’t know if Blaine was mocking him or not, or if he was deliberately trying to get under his skin, but Kurt didn’t want to give Blaine more of a reason to make him flustered.
Kurt swallowed back and shook his head when Blaine said he should sleep. “I’m not tired,” He said before closing his mouth to suppress a yawn. Kurt did want to sleep soon… but Kurt didn’t want to fall asleep in this bed and have those dreams in front of the vampire. Sure, the vampire couldn’t actually see what he was dreaming about, but it was still mortifying to think about.
There was an odd scent that started to flood the room. It made Blaine’s fangs threaten to pop out, and the older vampire had no idea why. It was a delicious smell that wrapped around him, making him feel things he couldn’t quite explain. It was also turning him on a significant amount.
Blaine tried to ignore the scent, chalking it up to someone near the area and the wind had just caught it. His sense of smell was one of his greatest talents. His ability to track things based on scent was how he had stayed alive so long.
But it also meant when something amazing came his way, it was amplified by a thousand.
Right now, he was dealing with that, while trying to not show any sort of weakness or distraction while there was a hunter in his home.
He shook it off, well, tried to, and continued to chat with Kurt, or mostly, just try to get the insufferable boy to stop arguing about a damn bed.
Kurt's interest in what he called the originals wasn’t completely unpredictable. Blaine could only imagine what kind of wild stories hunters had for their kind, how it all happened “Yes, I know them all” he paused for a moment. He wondered if he was supposed to name them, or keep it ominous? Did he care enough? “I am, how could you word it, 3rd generation? One of ... them, turned my sire, and then she turned me. I had previously met them before I was turned, which is the reason I was turned. I don’t know what they were trying to accomplish. Trying to save their own stupid blood line? Idiots” Blaine scoffed “All they did was draw attention to me, bring her into my life” he growled a little, a throaty noise that just came out naturally, before he straightened up.
Blaine glanced down, confused, when Kurt reached out and took his hand. The action was odd for Blaine, he was unsure what to do, but he couldn’t deny he kind of liked it. He moved his hand a little, not to shake Kurt’s hand away, but to look at it from different angles. When was the last time someone touched his hands in such a soft manner?
The touch was soft, but the small squeeze had power behind it. Not strength, just a sort of energy that rushed up Blaine’s arm.
It was different. He’d never felt something quite like that. Maybe when he’d had a really successful hunt and fed, but even then ...
“I told you when I first met you, I don’t attack innocent people. I may feed from innocent people, but I also make sure that they are fine after I am done. I have no desire to wipe out the human race, because then I would have nothing to eat” Blaine smirked a little, before he cleared his throat and neutralized his expression “I don’t have...” Blaine paused, unsure of how he was going to work. He didn’t have what? Any sort of care about humans well being? Any sort of remorse about killing people? Any sort of emotions what so ever? “... I only attack those that attack me, or... upset me” he added his eyes moving around “Yes, I kill because I can ... “ Blaine stopped before he added and I enjoy it “but when you have been alive as long as I have, you find it easier to justify your actions. Not that I have to give a reason to anyone about what I do, but I still have my own sort of conscious, I think I do, anyway, and it is completely fine with my actions” Blaine folded his arms as he looked over at Kurt, taking his hand out of the others grip “For as long as there have been Vampires, there have been Hunters. We are natural enemies, you and I” Blaine pointed between themselves “ Therefore, Hunters will never be seen as innocent by my kind. Ever... Because you are on a crusade to rid the world of this” Blaine gestured to himself “and even if I want to be rid of this curse, I won’t let you. My body won’t let you. It will fight until I am ash. That’s the way it will always be”
Blaine felt as though he’d said too much, and promptly shut up, only once making a small amused huffing noise when Kurt said he was able to look after himself. Walking into that vampire club looking like a meal on legs. He was lucky to have someone like Blaine around to make sure he got out of there with only a small bite on his leg.
His head tilted slightly when Kurt stifled a yawn, shaking his head a little bit.
“Would you feel more comfortable if I left the room so that you may rest?” Blaine asked, his eyes locking with Kurt's.
